Thanks MrsS and Tacori for the info on whole milk.
I think I will give J some this weekend and see.

MrsS--As IF that is the same bear!!! It really is unbelievable how much they grow in the first year!!! Jake has beautiful eyes--they sparkle!
I need to do the bear thing for the second kid b/c i am working on a picture collage for Co's b-day and it's hard to trying figure out his age in each one. I've used some of the shots i posted on here, but i missed a few so i am sorting thru 100's of shots now!
You must frame and display all yours for his b-day!
ETA: i got Co to drink a few ounces of apple/water this w/e too. Our boys are catching on! I also completely omitted a 12pm nursing on saturday b/c we were out of town shopping and he was distracted. So i tried to do it again yesterday but he threw a massive tantrum when he climbed to me and wanted to be fed. I held him off a bit but wasn't able to avoid it completely--progress however

Thanks Tacori, puffy & snlee. I''m coughing like crazy, good thing little B only have slight cough.

Puffy, sorry to hear B got push down. I can''t believe the mom didn''t say anything
29.gif
, I will be so mad I will probably start screaming...

Jas, Happy 11 month to Co. That is the cutest "sprayed" picture I ever seen

MrsS, Jake is so big, bigger than mr.bear now...I still remember when he was so little next to mr.bear.

Burk, sorry to hear Tayva is having another asthma flare up. Hope she feel better soon!

jas12 happy 11 months to Co!! what a cute pic of the little guy!!

mrsS i LOVE the expression of jake''s face!! he is just too CUTE!

burk awww, sorry to hear about T''s asthma! poor girl. is she any better?

lili yup, that''s the part that i was most upset about cause i know it''s the park, and kids tend to be in a hurry and not really pay attention to anyone, but to just tell your kid to leave like that was just BAD. and the mom knew that B was hurt too cause he had blood dripping down from his mouth. how is J doing?

tacori haha, T tries to eat the crayons, funny girl! B doesn''t really try to put too many things into his mouth anymore which i am so thankful for, but he tends to sometimes. he loves to "draw" and "color" and i am just happy that it stays on the paper. haha.

bobo awww, i hope you are better!! and keep little B''s cough under control. yes, it is definitely disappointing when a parent doesn''t care that their child pushed another child down and the other child was hurt. SUCKS!

snlee hope all is well and you are getting enough sleep!! hope D continues to do well at night and settle a bit more easily. and definitely baby proof cabinets, that is the first thing that we did. it''s a lot of work, but it is worth it.

Tacori~I tried Zumba again tonight with the better instructor because you like it and all those gals on that other Zumba thread spoke so highly. Not so much my thing. I think I''m more of a high-impact person. I am glad I tried it again because I did get better. So funny about T eating her crayons. I started drawing with our T a few weeks back and surprisingly she doesn''t try to eat them...she does try to draw on the dog, though!
20.gif
We have been terrible about making the decision about daycare. She had been doing better and the mom of the friend was a little wishy-washy so we just kind of "tabled it." Probably need to re-visit it now.

lili~thanks! She did great today at daycare. It''s just the nights that need to improve. I think we got on it early enough with the nebulizer treatments.

Jas12~Yay for sippy success! Hope the weaning of the 12pm feed continues to go smoothly!

bobo~Thanks!

puffy~I cannot believe your story about the park incident! What is wrong with some people?!?
29.gif
T is doing better. She had a good day at daycare. Crossing my fingers.

I know I just did a super crappy job catching up and I''m so sorry for those I missed but I am exhausted and I need to clean before bed (hired a new cleaning lady and wouldn''t you know it she called this morning at 8am and her kids had the stomach flu so she didn''t come). Seriously. Argh. Hello to everyone I missed!
35.gif

How do you guys edit pictures? I am so used to photoshop (which is not on my new computer) I am stumped. Can someone size this for me for a new AV? TIA!

Puffy, you are so LUCKY B is over the "everything in mouth" phase. Not my girl. Such a PITA sometimes! Oh well. She LOVED coloring. So funny. Not sure why it took me so long to give her some crayons.

Burk, just curious why isn''t it for you? At least you tried it! How''s sweet T?

Bobo, oh hope you are feeling better tomorrow!

Lili, my friend didn''t want to do the formula thing for the last few months (before she was one) and she was DONE BFing. Her little girl is perfect
2.gif

TanDog, if I shake the chair it DOES wiggle but we have never had an issue and my girl is a wiggle worm. I love it. It looks cool and is easy to clean.

So tired. I am going to *try* to sleep. I only got 5 hours last night so I am pretty shot.

Or should I use this photo?

n1621731554_174181_7185323.jpg

Tacori~Both of those pics are super cute! I think I like the second for your avi. I use photoshop usually, but iPhoto has basic editing tools so I use it some. I'm not sure if Zumba isn for me because I'm crazy uncoordinated with it....I can't get my arms and legs to do what they're supposed to at the same time and I just don't feel like I'm getting enough of a workout. Keep in mind, this is coming from an athlete who is used to running and jumping, ect to workout. I sweated and it was fun, but I couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror looking like an idiot. I don't know. Maybe I should try it a few more times since I've only done it twice. Get some sleep, lady! Five hours isn't even close to enough sleep!

ETA: Can I just say that I hate you!!
3.gif
It isn't even close to nice enough to be wearing sandals and short sleeves here!
7.gif

Burk, I have been going 2x a week for 6 weeks and am just now getting it. I am still really bad though. I avoid looking in the mirror. I am sore afterwards so I think it is doing its job. Our teacher does lots of jumping and hardly ever stops. It was 80 here today! I was sweating taking those pics. Haha. Don''t hate me!

Tacori--someone from PS told me how to resize (that''s all u want to do right?). Just click on your photo while in iphoto. Then go up to file and select export. Click on ''scale image''. a 400 x 600 is a good size to post an pic on here. I assume you would just scale smaller for an avi.
Gorgeous new pics, i like both equally! and um ya, i have weather envy too, i slipped on ice today and had to shovel snow..but things are looking up. it is supposed to be above zero sometime this week!

Thanks Tacori - that''s all I needed to know! Great I am keeping it and not lugging it back to BRU. That''s exactly why I wanted it too - looks cool and is easy to clean. Thanks again. I took another look at it and the wobbling really only seems to be an issue when it''s set up high, and I think we''ll have it low (table height) most of the time anyway.

TanDogMom
Yeah the boon is a little wobbly at the highest, but it won't tip over. Enjoy. We love it so far.

Jas12
Adorable pic of Co.

MrsS
OMG Jake is so big compared to Mr. Bear. I remember the first pic of him next to Mr. Bear. He's grown so much. He is a cutie.

Tacori
Tessa is gorgeous as usual.

More solid feeding questions
When did you introduce meat (ground meat)? finger food?

ETA: Question about feet and shoes
I look into Target shoes, and M's feet are too puffy to fit in them. So I was wondering what brand of shoes fit puffy feet. Anyone knows?

She has grown so much, look at her go!!!!!

Love the photos!

So ladies, I have a new concern--I might be overreacting and being ridiculous, so figured I''d come here. Anyway, Chloe''s ears kind of stick out. I notice it, my family notices -- but just seemed kind of cute and I always figured it was something that would go away with hair. Well, now I''m starting to pay more attention..and notice things like her ear folds over easily when I''m feeding her (always been this way), and of course I started googling which has made me even more worried. Reading things about stints (sold in the UK), that you need to take care of it quickly etc. Geesh, I was distracted by flat head for the first3-4 months that I hadn''t thought about her ears!

Has anyone run into this? I also think it''s weird that these stints are only sold in the UK, maybe it''s just a scam. Plus seems so bizarre to have to wear tape on a baby''s ears for months.

Sorry for the silly post, but kind of on my mind...

80? Maybe I shouldn''t hate you, I should hate Nebraska?

At any rate, I''m jealous you''re able to play outside. It was in the 70''s here last week but we''re back down to 40 this week. Stupid weather. I''ll probably consider going to Zumba again if it''s a night where they don''t offer step and I don''t feel self motivated to run on the treadmill. Have you tried Body Step yet? It''s a great workout.

QT~We did finger foods around 9 months and the same with ground meat. As for shoes....too bad because Target's shoes are super cute. T's feet are tiny so we don't have that issue. Sorry not much help.

janine~Have you asked your pedi? I really don't have any help for you, but I would call your pedi or ask when you're in for the next appt. You need to post a pic for us to see!!
41.gif

snlee~meant to say earlier that I'm glad that D is adjusting well to you being back at work. And hurray for finding something that works for night time. Get yourself some sleep!

Question for BFing moms: I've mentioned before that my SIL is having sleep issues with their 11 week old. I wasn't BFing at 11 weeks any longer (due to intollerance/reflux issues) and so I'm not sure but the baby is going down at 8 and sleeping until midnight then he gets up every hour from 12 on.....she says he nurses for about 5 minutes every time he wakes and falls back to sleep. I think he's not getting enough at the 12 feed and then continues to snack. I told her to try and wake him and keep him on longer at the 12 feed. Am I right? Like I said, I wasn't nursing at that time, but 5 minutes seems way to short? SIL is back to work and SOOOO sleep deprived. Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance!

Tacori, those photos are ridiculously ADORABLE!!!!!! Tessa is seriously such a cutie patootie--love the hat! And I''m so jealous of your weather, we''re still cold up here!

qtiekiki, you should try Stride Rite shoes. They are expensive but they make shoes in medium or wide width which is good for those chubby Flintstone feet. They are really good for the foot development as well.

janine, Lily''s ears used to stick out too when she was little. And they were "bendy" as well. Now that her hair has grown in, you can''t notice at all. I wouldn''t worry too much about it, but you can always ask your pedi if you''re really concerned.

Hi Everyone Been reading as usual but probably won''t be able to catch up totally...
T is sleeping and the housecleaners just called and are coming an hour later, so....PS Time!

Tacori I love the new pics- know nothing about macs though. did you figure it out yet?

Burk Im so sorry t is sick again. Just terrible. ditto Tacori= did you pick a nanny? A friend''s girl was sick a ton in daycare and she took her out...how stressful for you guys! For your sil, I am no expert- we have been bf successfully for 2 weeks today I think. I have noticed some days T cluster feeds at between 5-7 or 5-8 then he will usually have a nice chunk of sleep- maybe 4 hours or 4 1/2. After that I have seen a mix- sometimes 3 hour chunks, some nights a 3 hour chunk and then hourly as we get closer to dawn. what fun. At that point I usually sleep in the room with him in futon and just bf sidelying. the thing is he falls asleep pretty quick that way which is probably why he keeps waking up to eat- but maybe thats not true cuase even when i return him to swing he still wakes up. I dunno...not very helpful. I am super lucky that I don''t have to work. Ummm the baby whisperer says to dream feed at 9 or 10 I think- we did it the other night but he didn''t sleep longer I dont think. Well I believe this is just babbling and not actuallly helpful for your sil- will she try formula in the middle of the night or the dream feed and let dh do it?

snlee thanks for the support a few pages back- ppreciate it! HOw are you and D doing? settled into work?

jas12 yeah there are similarities ,huh? I don''t think you have said that Co is as sensitive as T- lucky lady. Alot of things set him off...but I love him anyway. Regarding sleep= I think mine is probably related to anxiety- went to dr. yesterday as I have been feeling worse and worse- but still not depressed- just freakin'' overwhelmed alot lot lot. and not sleeping. So Im starting Zoloft as I have used the ssri in the past with good results. The dr. was great and really concerned for me- making sure I have some support etc. and I do. I called a bunch of friends yesterday and tried to set up different dates for company/support. It is working out ok. And my brother is coming the week when dh goes to the Philipines for work- next week. I think that might have spurred this whole ''crisis'' anyway. I asked the dr. about estrogen- not sure...thanks for all of your support/advice re: bf, napping, sleep, etc.

OH guess what- my dh showed me how to put the baby down- This weekend, he puts him down, right after he eats- no easy- or a really short a I guess and he goes down awake, and then falls asleep. Slept 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I think I have been missing his window all along by waiting for the first yawn. Not positive and hate to jinx it but htat is how it seems so far!

Happy 11 months to all thos cutie patooties!

ok bye t is awake!

Cute pictures and Tessa is gorgeous as usual
5.gif

Anyway, I cropped your pictures to a square so they won''t look squished when you use them as AVI.

Tessa.jpg

Unfortunately, her legs are cut off for this one
15.gif

Tessa_skip-1.jpg

Jas12, actually I need to crop it to a square. I can always pull it off PS on my old laptop (and use photoshop). I can''t believe how cold it is where you live! Crazy. Don''t hurt yourself on the ice.

TanDog, the only thing is I wish the buckle wasn''t white. I feel like it ALWAYS looks dirty. Oh well. Besides that it is easy to clean. I love the two trays. Fits perfectly on the top shelf of my dishwasher.

Q, I know some baby shoe makers make wide shoes. Try Endless.com b/c I think width is an option there. The sandals I just bought there (as seen in the new picture) may work b/c you can loosen the strap. T doesn''t like meat. Haha. But I think I tried around 10 months or so.

Lor, I know she looks SO old!

janine, I would talk to your pedi if you are worried.

Burk, I have not tried step. Wonder if it would hurt my knee too much. I am going to Zumba again tonight. SOOOO don''t want to go but I need to. 5 mins seems really short for an 11 week old.

Curly, thanks! I am sure it will warm up in NYC soon!

pave, I''ll just have to do it on my old laptop. I am so annoyed I have to buy the new version of adobe creative suite. If you do wait too long they get over tired and it is too hard for them to fall asleep. They get frustrated (as we all get in that state). Sounds like you are figuring him out though!

Lili, thanks lady! How is sassy J doing?

I lightened and re-cropped the skipping picture.
Somehow the original looked a bit dark on my computer.

Tessa_skip-2.jpg

QT
We gave J finger food (well, more like those Gerber puffs and wheels) at 7.5 months.
We gave her the level 2 solid (w/ meat) at 8 months.

Tacori--i think cropping the picture into a square will work (then when u export and re-size, the dimensions are close to being equal) but i am a total novice and haven''t actually tried this so....
5.gif
just use what lili did for you
1.gif

Pave--i am glad u are getting some help. The first 4 months were hard for me too (everyone i think!). I am also an anxious person. Never been ''diagnosed'' or anything but when i go thru significant change i feel anxiety. If anything will set off anxiety it''s having a kid--no other change is greater in a person''s life. Everything is such a mystery and there is a never a break from it. I really think you''ll start feeling better in the next couple of months (not just cuz of the meds) but i think all of us felt a bit of a turn around around the 4th month. I think Tgal reported feeling ''human'' again, Tacori wants to give birth to 4 month olds and this is also when i noticed a big change in mood, sleep, routine.
Maybe you *were* missing T''s window, makes sense that eating could count as the ''activity'' time--that''s great that he is taking longer naps. Hope it sticks!!!

My sister has been harassing me the past 48 hours--she really wants me to go to NYC with her for the May long weekend. It would mean leaving Co for 3 nights
6.gif

we both have many weddings this summer and need outfits, i would love to go away and the price is right (great deals for may) but it would mean fully weaning a few weeks earlier than planned (or pumping) hmmm....

So cute Tacori!
She is just getting so big! What a doll
30.gif

Hi everyone! Not much PS time for me these days, but I will try to get caught up soon.
Hope you are all doing well
35.gif

Jas12, go to NYC! You only live once and trips away make for a better mommy IMHO
2.gif
I don''t know much about iphoto. I''ll have to play around with it.

Lili, thanks for your help!

iluv, hope you are doing okay and it is busy good not busy bad. Glad you enjoyed the new pics!

Thanks Tacori! It is mostly busy good. Two more tests, but I think just precautionary, so that is good news.
My eye is almost healed, and the vision is only dbl peripherally, which is an improvement.
I am just so very behind here, as the mommies are a very prolific bunch!LOL

How is everything with you? I see that you are enjoying delightful weather
11.gif
(not so much here)
If I remember correctly, your sister''s wedding is coming up in April. Can''t wait too see those Tessa pictures
26.gif

Have you been able to do any painting? How is Zumba going?

Burk
Has she tried keeping him awake to feed longer? and did it helps? If not, he could be comfort nursing. At that age, M was doing 5 - 10 min on one breast, so 5 min could be sufficient. I would suggest waking him up to feed longer to see if that helps.

iluv, glad your health seems better! We miss you around here for sure! Are the kids getting excited for spring break? My sister''s wedding is in Aug. so we still have a bit of time. Zumba is frustrating b/c I have been working out like I never have before for 6 weeks and barely see any results. I guess it is a slow process. The weather has been so wonderful the past four days or so but it suppose to get colder by the weekend
15.gif
Of course one of my college friends is coming to visit so the weather is bound to be bad. Haha. I have not painted since those paintings for my friend''s DD (a year ago) I should start. Guess I am waiting for inspiration.

hope this works..here's my cutie trying solids for the first time (love the expression)--and going outside for some much needed warm weather
