hi everyone!!! hope you all are doing well. there is just no way i am going to catch up.
went to the doc yesterday and she doesn't think it's looking so good, so the little bean might not be sticking or didn't stick already, just depends on what dates we are going by. DH and i are obviously pretty devastated, but at this point, whatever is going to happen will happen, and there's really nothing that either of us can to do change it. sounds bad, but i am expecting the worse, but praying and hoping that things look up. i go in for another blood test tomorrow, and hopefully that will tell us more. i am just hoping that the dates are all wrong, and the little bean will show up on the next ultrasound in 2 weeks.

tacori...glad to hear that T's appt well. K9's are a pain as B went through them all 4 at once as well.

well, that's it...have a good night everyone.

O nooo puffy
7.gif
...I am praying that lil bean is a sticky!!!

puffy, oh no. I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you get some good news tomorrow. Please keep us posted. TONS of sticky dust your way!

QT, I vote with lili, get the jewelry and you get him the camera.

iluv, how cute is that, freckles in the ears.

pave, sorry can''t help you on the traveling dept. We haven''t take little B anywhere yet. We''re chicken.

Tacori, all four, wow...poor Tessa. Don''t worry about the pictures, I took some new pictures of the pendant before giving it to my mom so I will post some later.

Burk, I think we are very close on picking a vendor for the cabinets but still need to pick out appliances. I wish I have time to post pics, actually I wish I can take you shopping with me

5.gif

puffy, Sorry to hear about the little bean. But don''t give up just yet. The same thing happen to my sister, I remembered she was crying on my shoulder when she told me. Now her little bean is going to be 3 years old. So you never know, if it''s meant to be it will.

iluvcarats
Awweee...they were and still are adorable.
I love that picture....you can see how different yet similiar Ava and Sam are.
Their hair and eye colors are different, yet their face shape w/ those adorable cheeks and lips are the same
5.gif

Thanks for sharing that picture.
They sure grow up so fast.

Pave
Thanks. J did get better finally, although she''s still got her bout of diarrhea.
She didn''t take her pedilyte unfortunately. We had to use a dropper to get what little (like 2 oz a day) into her.
Fortunately, her vomiting stopped yesterday, so she''s able to rehydrate herself.
I know how you feel about those dry diapers.
I was about to take J in for an IV because she had only 1 damp diaper the entire day yesterday, but then she shows signs of hydration (tears, semi-runny nose, mouth is not dry).
Is the 12 hr at night or during the day?
I know J''s morning diaper is dry if I don''t let her have her night feeding.
Hope you get some reassuring answers.

Tacori
Haha, I''m a picture wh*re, so I''ll try to get you ladies to post as many as I can
9.gif

Although I have to admit that I''ve about given up on some people (ie TGal) who still owe us some monthly pictures
41.gif

puffy
Oh no....hope it''s just a miscalculation on your date.
Lots of sticky dust to you.

Jas12
Aweee....reverted to lurker status?
Just update us once a month if you can :)
Wow, Co is a genius amassing so many words already-- he''s going to be a walking dictionary!
How exciting about your house.
Hope the issue is resolved w/ the construction vehicles so that you guys can proceed.

puffy
Sorry to hear the news. I hope the dr was wrong.

lili
LOL. I don't think that will work since I don't think he want the camera. Maybe I'll try it anyways. I do want one of those shared prong bangles, but I don't need it. I definitely want the camera before M turns 1.

iluvcarats
I was thinking, the same thing lili was, that the pic is a duplicate. We need new pics.
Any plans for when the kids got out for summer?

Pave
Glad you will get some help when DH is on his trip.
No I still haven't decided yet, but I am definitely leaning toward the camera more. Seeing Tacori and Tgal's pics make me want a DSLR. Tacori is my enabler... first the boon, now the camera. LOL.
I am not an urologist, but M had a slightly enlarged right kidney (pedi felt it and the u/s confirmed it the day after she was born). She never got an UTI, but our pedi was proactive and ordered a VCUG when she was a couple months old. So if you are concern, maybe your pedi can do an u/s or something to double check. It probably nothing. Even if it's hydronephrosis, it will work itself out most of the time. Here's a site with info on urine blockage in newborns if you want to read up on it: http://kidney.niddk.nih.gov/kudiseases/pubs/newborns/

Tacori
I am leaning toward the camera b/c of your awesome pics of T.
Oh my, can't believe T is going to go foam-less already on the boon. She grew quite a bit the past 6 months.
Hope T's K9 breaks through soon.

janine
Isn't it sweet to hear C say DADA and MAMA even if she doesn't know what it means?
Sounds like C is doing great with solids. Are you introducing regular milk? or you just meant formula?

Blen
How did George's hip u/s go?

Bobo
Hope you and little B feel better soon.

M is getting two more teeth on top. The corners of the teeth had broke through, so I can see and feel them already. MIL thought she saw two more bottom teeth, but I didn't.

Puffy I''m so sorry!
15.gif
But I am going to stay positive for you because so many times women hear exactly what you did and everything is fine, it was just bad dating! I am holding out hope for you!

Thinking of you Puffy. Hope you get good news. Please keep us posted. *DUST*

I could have sworn that I posted last night? I guess my computer ate it.

My SIL''s graduation is coming up and I was trying on my dresses last night to see if any of them would work. They''re mostly fine in the hips, which was what I was expecting to be the problem area, but all are way too tight in the bust. I was just wondering if any new dresses that I buy will work for more than just a limited period of time - I have a sewing machine but I''m not good at altering. Tacori, Burk - thanks for your input! I guess I''ll just have to give it time to be able to tell.

George''s hip u/s yesterday went really well - everything looks like it''s developing correctly and the doctor wasn''t able to dislocate his hips or even get them to budge, which she said was good. We got it done because breech babies have a higher incidence of hip development problems, which are correctable if caught early and so our ped wanted us to catch anything that there could be to catch!

Puffy, I have my fingers crossed that everything''s fine. Thinking of you.

Tacori, no wonder she''s been so grumpy! Poor girl. Those pictures are great, if I forgot to tell you earlier.

NF - I keep forgetting to tell you - congrats on your DH''s job!!

Jas - sounds really busy!

Janine- I can''t wait to here Dada and Mama!

Burk- I''m not sure why you''d need that extra bath either. I wouldn''t want to spend the extra money or have an extra room to clean! Ugh. Hopefully your husband will come around.

NYC - I''ve had the same thought that I''m going to be a MIL one day. But while there are MILs like yours and Tacoris, there are some good ones out there. I actually really like mine - I lucked out in that department - and I''ll just strive to be like her when the time comes.
My mom has bought George a TON of clothing, and a lot of it isn''t really my taste. I think it''s more what was popular for babies when she was having them.
4.gif
But she did tell me that she knows that people buy baby clothing for themselves and not for the baby (in that the baby doesn''t care what they''re wearing as long as it''s weather appropriate, so it''s really more for the parents or whoever) and that she just wanted to buy it and that I don''t need to dress him in it if I don''t want to. She''s getting into town today, and I will put him in it more than usual while she''s here.

The monkeys got something on my keyboard.
All the letters keep sticking together and typing what I don''t want
14.gif
29.gif

Will be back after I unstick it (any ideas?
33.gif
)
Can you really put a keybord in the dishwasher? I read that in another thread.

Blen and NYC I also think about being a MIL one day! I was looking at Hunter and thinking how much I love and adore him, and he adores me, but one day he will choose a partner (assuming its a woman, who knows though) and what if he chooses a ditzy foolish woman?!!? That would kill me. As a strong, independent, intellectual woman, it would kill me if he chose a silly girl. But what could I do? I would grin and bear it, I refuse to interfere in his life. But man, if he chose a woman so opposite of me, how could it not seem like a bit of a rejection? Makes me think of my own MIL. She is a wonderful woman and I feel lucky to have her, but we couldn''t be more different really. I wonder if she ever looks at me and wonders what her son''s choice says about his perception of her? I think she just feels happy her son chose an accomplished woman, and maybe she doesn''t care than I am different than her. We both have big bums though
3.gif
, maybe that similarity makes her feel loved!
4.gif

nyc~the twinks can hang out in the "questionable" outfits indoors.
21.gif
he he. I don''t even want to think about being a MIL....

puffy~Oh no!!
7.gif
Praying for you, your DH and your little bean. Hope he/she finds a way to stick!!

bobo~I wish I could come shopping with you too! Too bad we don''t live closer. Keep me posted on your progress, though!

lili~Glad Miss J is feeling better! Poor thing, she''s starting to catch up with Tayva in the getting sick category!
15.gif

QT~How is M handling the new teeth?

Blen~Good to hear George''s u/s went well! We didn''t change our plan as of right now. I do NOT want to have another bathroom to clean. Hopefully we stay with this decision.

iluv~I don''t know about the dishwasher? You can use those Lysol or Clorox wipes on the keyboards, though.

Just a quick drive by again, I'm sorry I suck but I'm so freaking busy! Trying to keep up but can't respond to everyone. Just know that I'm thinking of all of you and reading as much as I can.

puffy, I'm keeping everything crossed for a sticky bean for you. Try to stay positive, even though it's hard. We're all here for you.

tacori, sounds like Miss T is doing great! Her stats are almost identical to Lily's at 18 months. Hope the teething is over quickly.

janine, isn't the babbling such an amazing sound?! It's so funny because Lily always did dadadada and I got annoyed even though I know she didn't know what she was saying. Well, Lucy started with bababababa and dadadada but now throws in mamamama way more than dadadada and I'm PSYCHED!
2.gif
She hasn't been too into her bottles lately either except at 3am when she wakes up starving.
3.gif
As long as Chloe is pooping and peeing and eating enough solids, I wouldn't worry too much about the bottles. Are you still giving her cereal? I try to mix it with formula just so it makes me feel like she's eating it if she's not going to drink it!!

nyc, sorry about the MIL issues. I think most of us have them! I plan on being an awesome MIL but I guess I won't know until it actually happens and I sure as hell am not thinking about it now!!! Glad you have a lot of help. And it WILL get easier eventually, just hang in there.

Blen, I'm pretty sure my ribcage went back to normal--not even sure that it expanded so much. I will say that after this second pregnancy, my hips are definitely taking their time to move back and not sure that they ever totally will! Ah, the battle scars of motherhood. It's all worth it!

lili, hope J is doing better. I hate when they're sick and you don't know how to help them.
8.gif

Diva, great news on your MIL!!! What a relief.

Bobo, are you really giving the pendant to your mom????? That's very generous of you but I think you should keep it!

Burk, I'm so excited about your house!!! It's going to be so great to go through it all with you.

I know I missed a lot of people but I'll try to catch up again when I get a chance.

In my world, Lily had her 2 year appointment yesterday. She is 27 lbs. 14 oz. and 34.5" tall. Basically in the high 60s percentile-wise so all is good and she's still on her curve. She cried a lot because I think she now knows what it means to go to the doctor! She got her Hep A shot and doesn't have to go back now for another 6 months to get her flu shot. It was sad to hear that she can start taking CHILDREN'S Motrin instead of the infant stuff. My little girl is all grown up!
39.gif
The funniest part of the whole appointment was at the end, after the shot and all the crying, we were leaving and Lily stopped in the doorway, turned around and said through her sniffles, "Bye, Doctor." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry! Even the pedi was floored!!!! What a drama queen.

My other big news is: LUCY IS CRAWLING!!!!
36.gif
36.gif
She had been doing the backwards thing and the army crawl for a few weeks now but officially figured out the proper crawl on Tuesday which was Lily's birthday! I guess she's trying to keep up with her big sis. I was hoping we could hold off on this for a while because Lily didn't crawl until almost 10 months, but there's no stopping them once they figure it out. It's all going by much faster this time....

puffy-sending prayers your way for your little bean for good news tomorrow!

thank you for the warm welcome everyone
35.gif
i''d love to share a picture but DH is pretty opposed to it ...boo... the funny thing is that i''m more concerned about sharing his name because it''s such a unique arabic name and really no one else i know has it which makes me think it would be a dead giveaway to anyone who knows us and reads my posts.

pave - sorry to hear you''ll be on your own with the little one for 2 wks. our babies are v close in age, and i really can''t imagine having to take care of him by myself for that long. here''s hoping the time flies by and you can get some help from friends...i

blen- george is adorable!

iluvcarats - i LOVE the pics of your kids...too cute!

tacori - canines! poor little tessa, i hope she feels better soon.

divadiamond - i can''t wait to start little jelly on solids, kids look so cute when they make their "don''t like it" faces haha

burk - hope the open house preparations go well! we did some serious househunting last year before we found our place and saw well over 100 houses...it''s insane how little some people cared when it came to putting their house in order for the open house!

courtney - great pic of alila, she is so cute! glad to hear bf is getting better, congrats on all the progress.

qtiekiki - your hubby is so funny haha i love the coupon idea. i bought a dslr a mth after jelly was born and am SO glad i did. i regret not having it for that first month because the quality of pics is so different when i compare them to what we have now. jewelery of course is ALWAYS a welcome option. you''re a lucky girl!

janine - how cute that Chloe is saying dada and mama!

jas12 - you must be happy that work towards the house is finally starting soon. it''s so funny, i hold my baby SO much (even when he sleeps - definitely developing bad habits) but i just want to get as many cuddles in as possible before he gets sick of me and wants to run away like co.

bobo - hope you and B feel better soon!

puffy - sending sticky vibes your way!! so sorry to hear that the dr. isn''t too optimistic...i hope he''s wrong. please keep us posted.

lili - sorry J is still not feeling 100%

curlygirl - congrats on lucy crawling!! what an accomplishment
36.gif

phew...all caught up!! sorry if i missed anyone!!

post pregnancy skin issues:

so the dreaded hairloss began about 3 wks ago and it''s still pretty disconcerting to see fist fulls of hair fall out in the shower, but my skin has got me even more worried than my hair. the same time the hairloss began, i started having some wicked dandruff, which i *believe* is causing my skin to flake and itch around my forehead, eyebrows, nose, neck etc. basically anywhere the hair touches...it is kinda painful and burns/itches at times. i''ve got an appt with a dermatologist in 2 wks but was wondering if anyone of you has had anything similar happen. all signs point to "seborrheic dermatitis" which can be caused by hormonal changes but i REALLY hope this goes away soon. it looks awful and feels worse
39.gif

puffy: also have you in my thoughts--please keep us posted.

curly: your little girls are amazing, it just seems to go so fast. I''m hoping C doesn''t crawl for a little bit tho!

burk: hope you''re feeling better and is it definite on the 3rd bathroom?

blen: glad to hear the u/s went well--was it a quick and easy procedure? do they just check the hip joint, or others along the leg?

bobo: hope you''re both feeling better!

tacori: wow tessa''s stats sound awesome! so maybe there''s hope for my little petite one yet!

pave: hang in there, you''ll do fine, but glad to hear you''re getting help too!

nyc: i also agree that MIL (and Mother) annoyances are common ,especially early on when they make alot of comments about how things are better their way. But the help is really worth it, so grin and bear it if you can b/c in the big picture this is great for your baby and your MIL means well. I got really annoyed early on, but now I see things different. I''m very grateful for my mom''s help and realize when she makes these comments she''s just trying to be a part of everything and it comes out wrong. Hope you''re doing ok w/ DH going back to work.

C continues sto not want her bottle, it''s so strange. 3oz and then she wants to play with it. Doesn''t mind solid food though. It''s like she''s bored with the bottle, and once she''s past the starving stage, loses interest and gets annoyed with the bottle unless it''s to play. I called the nurse and of course she said, just keep an eye, could be a phase. She''s pooping and peeing like normal, so I''ll try to get creative, but otherwise just keep at it.
And in my head she''s saying MAMAMA and DADADA knowing who we are, hehehe. We even answer back "Yes, I''m right here". And DH thinks my mom taught her MAMAMA so keeps saying "DADA" to her. Kind of funny!

Curly~yay for Lucy!!!
36.gif
So cute about Lily saying goodbye to the doctor.

sbde~We looked at quite a few houses before we chose to build too and saw the same thing. I was kind of surprised at first. We''re even packing stuff we don''t use often to try and eliminate clutter (that we really don''t have). I guess anything is worth trying.

janine~I am feeling better, thanks! Our builder sided with me (yay) and so we stuck with 2.5. Hopefully we continue that way. Who knows with my DH.
5.gif
Isn''t mama and dada the best? Have you tried sippy cups with formula?

Burk, I am 5''1" (with NO tall genes in my family) and DH is 6''1" (I think) or maybe 6". He is taller than his dad (I think he is 5"9 or something) and his mom is around 5''5" so who knows. Don''t they say to double the height at 2 and that''s their adult height?

nyc, we must leard NOT to be a passive aggressive mother in law
2.gif
Not sure if you have heard about mine. *sigh* Teething didn''t seem to bother her until she got her molars. These K9s have been the worst though. BTW MIL clothes make great play clothes! *evil grin*

puffy, I hope you are just REALLY newly preggo. That happened to me with T. The doc wasn''t sure if I was just so newly preggo or losing the baby. Did they do an exam? I guess a preggo cervix has a bluish tint
33.gif
mine did but I did the blood test deal too. Anyways, good luck! My fingers are crossed for you guys.

Bobo, you are very generous!

Lili, you need to share more pics of J!
2.gif

Q, I am glad you think my pictures are awesome b/c I do feel guilty about only having one set of pro pics. I know it bothers MIL
20.gif
She has really gotten taller. I think she grew 4.5" in 6 months if I remember her 12 month height correctly.

Blen, thanks. I am happy with how they turned out. Glad G''s u/s went well!

Curly, really? That is so cool since I think Lily is a perfect little girl
2.gif
How cute she said bye even though she was so upset. T used the big kid scale and it was SOOO cute to see her standing on it in just her diaper. Everyone was smiling at her. Yay for Lucy crawling? How old is she again? I forget all the ages. They say that the 2nd, 3rd, etc kids are more advanced since they are around older kids. Makes sense. Lucy doesn''t want to be left behind.

sbde, I hope she is back to her happy self soon. Her leg is black and blue where they gave her the shot
7.gif
I have some skin discoloration and just bought over priced cream from the derm. My baby hairs (the hair that grew back after the massive loss) reaches to my mouth. It is annoying but at least can be tucked behind my ears.

janine, there is hope! That''s why I don''t put much stock in them. She has been everything from 25% in height to 75%. 5% in weight to 75% so who knows. I would try a sippy too.

So in Tessa news I should have woken her up b/c guess who was ready to start her day at 4:30 am...yep...so I forced her to take a nap at 7 and I went back to bed. When I woke up at 9 I felt like I had a hang over. Seriously I need to do something. I didn''t fall asleep until after midnight and then woke up at 2 something for a little bit. I feel rough today. We had a play date at the park today. So funny she started SCREAMING "Dora!" and I was so confused until I noticed this little girl has a three inch Dora on her T-shirt. How did she even notice that?!? Her friend is what I imagine Puffy''s Brady to be like. I was putting sunscreen on T and she was like "oh, sunscreen." She has a favorite number (18). She is really good at remembering names. It''s so funny. My friend is such a non bragger so she makes excuses like "oh it will slow down"
38.gif
I told her it is okay she has a smartie and the kid is special. No doubt about that. Here I am excited that Tessa started saying "cookie" and this kid knows latin. Haha. Okay, not really but she can have a conversation which is pretty good for 22 months.

Janine - it took maybe half an hour? They just did his hips, because that''s all that we''re concerned about. The u/s tech took pictures of both of his hips normally, and then took some pics of each while a doctor manipulated the hips and tried to dislocate them - at least I think that''s what was going on. George was ok with the first part but hated the second part. They warned me of that beforehand. He kept screaming and screaming until I could finally get him to calm down enough to start sucking on my pinky, and then he was kind of ok.

Speaking of clothing gifts - my mom''s going to get here in half an hour and I keep trying to dress George in things that she got him so that he''ll be wearing one of them when she gets here, but then he keeps getting them messy somehow. And he''s already outgrown a couple of the outfits I tried on.

Tacori~yea, they say double it at 2. Babycenter has a height predictor thing too that takes into account how tall parents are. Everyone always says T will be so tall and I wonder...just because she''s tall now does not mean she''ll be a tall adult. Sorry about your early wake-up call! Tayva has gone to bed early on many occasions and I always worry about her doing that! Your playdate sounds like a smarty pants. Hope you''re napping while T does this afternoon!!

lili, sorry to hear J still got diarrhea. I hope she gets well soon.

Thanks QT! yay
36.gif
on two more teeth!

iluv, I don''t know you can put keyboard in the dishwasher...hmm...

Thanks Burk. Did you pick your cabinets yet?

Thanks curly, yeah...I gave the pendant to my mom. She had the jeweler shorten the chain and is now happily wearing the pendant. How sweet of Lily to say bye to the Doctor after all the crying. Yay
36.gif
on Lucy crawling!!

Thanks sbde! Sorry to hear about the skin issue. I went thru something similar after the pregnancy and I just oil up and it went away after a while.

Thanks Janine! Try singing to her while she takes her bottle, to distract her or give her a toy. That works for little B.

Thanks Tacori! wow...up at 4:30 a.m.

puffy, thinking of you!

There are websights that say you can, but apparently they are wrong
28.gif

Luckily I have a backup.

Will check back later, have to run to swimming lessons and then open house at school.

Burk
Holy canoli! That is one huge a$$ closet! and I thought mine was insanely huge at 14x8 (
41.gif
I guess mine isn''t that much smaller)

Jas12
Forgot to ask how your shingles is.

Blen
Awwee...just saw your 1month picture of George over in the preggo thread.....sooo sweet!

Bobo
What a nice daughter you are for giving your mom your lovely OEC necklace!

Tacori
Wow, looks like Miss T is growing and is going to be quite tall no?
I heard that you multiply by their 18-month height by 2 for girls (2 yr for boys).
Since your hubby is tall, I think T will likely be at least 5 and 1/2 ft tall.
Oh, forgot to comment how cute it is that T still does her nose crinkle when she''s really happy.

Puffy
Thinking of you. Hope you get some good news today.

janine
Don''t worry too much about Chloe not drinking much.
J drinks very little too.....I think no more than 3 oz per feeding....and she doesn''t eat that much solid either.

Hi sbde!
35.gif
I remember we were pretty close as far as our due dates go and I''m suffering the same thing you are! The hair loss is horrible and I finally got a hair cut yesterday in hopes that my hair won''t come out in such huge clumps! As far as skin goes... it''s been mostly on my hands. They too are SO dry and crack and burn. It''s hard to keep lotion on the because no sooner do I put the lotion on I have to wash them again. I hope the dermatologist helps you out and we''d love to hear what solution you''re given.
1.gif
How is your little peanut doing? They''re getting to be so much fun at this age! (As mine is in the living room with DH fussing! LOL)

Curly
That is seriously funny about Lily saying bye to the dr through her sniffling.
She IS a big girl!
And
36.gif
for Lucy crawling! That is pretty early.
