Diver: I''m like you, my kids are always dressed in clean clothes and hair brushed, etc before we leave the house. But when the kids start going to school you see kids leave the house lin shambles. Some kids are just messy, some will only get dressed if they can dress themselves and some mothers just do not care. And I have found that sometimes messy kids come from messy moms but most do not. The kid can look like crap but the mother is done head to toe. Weird.

If Jake likes the preschool don''t worry everything will be okay. Not everyone can be a teacher that''s for sure! I only like spending time with my own kids.

Does anyone has/use a Recaro convertible car seat? My friend has one in her car, and her DH has a Britax. She said she likes both brand. So I just want to get more opinions on that brand.

Curly wow, you''re so close! can''t wait to meet your little girl. wishing you a super easy delivery.

Tacori that''s so cute about T dancing and bouncing. Brady kinda does that, but he does shake, shake, shake, where he will shake anything that he is holding and his booty at the same time.

qt cute avatar!

iluvcarats how''s your son doing?

Burk—
Tayva does look like a little young lady in her denim 
Hope you and Tayva feel better soon.

Msb—
Awww…poor little Khalib.
First the allegry, now a cold.
Glad to hear that the cold didn’t upset his cheery disposition.

MsF—
Love the 1st birthday pix, especially the last one where he looks like he’s about to dive right into the cake :D
Ian is such a big boy and he does look like he slimmed down quite a bit from his last pix.
Like the others said, it’s a PITA waiting for the proofs, but the wait will be worth it.
Can’t wait to see them.

QT—
Yay for the new car and the free carseat!
Love your new avi – looks like M is really enjoying her tummy time.

iluv, thank you. That means a lot.

curly, oh I am so excited for you! Keep us updated!!!

puffy, isn''t baby dancing so darn cute? She LOVES to wiggle and bounce. She can even stand on her own and dance now.

I have an announcement! Tessa has had her first kiss.
6.gif
It happened with one of my neighbor''s 8 month old twin boys. We saw the whole thing. He gives lots of hugs and kisses and is very loving (even to me) Well, she just puckered up and they kisses on the lips. Then she broke away and went back for a second one!
32.gif
Finally she got distracted and moved on to a toy but more little boy was still waiting for her to come back. It was so funny!

TGal—
Awww…missed each other again.
I’m sure one of these days, we’ll cross path.
That’s awesome about the high chair.
Thanks for the tips on using multiple coupons for BRU.

The Beaba Babycook does look nifty.
I’ll look into that.
So how did the cup drinking experiment go with Amelia?
Did you try it yet?

Tacori—
*claps* for Tessa’s newest feat.
Wow, she’s really mobile now huh?
Too cute about her newest craze – dancing.

Jas12—
Yay for hitting the 6month mark of BFing.
You can easily go to 1 yr.
I’m planning on going to 1 yr myself.
Had a little scare the last 2 days.
Thought that my milk supply is drying out because I was only able to pump out 1 oz after 5 minutes. Fortunately, it seems a little better today. I probably shouldn’t go too long in between feeding and pumping.

Way to go Co on your first veggie/fruit.
I’m been a bit laxed with feeding J these last couple of days.
Will introduce veggie to her this weekend.

Nothing new to report on the Amelia front. I''m waiting to see if teeth will appear (and every time she gets cranky, I am SURE there are teeth lurking about in there).
20.gif
Everything is the same ole, same ole. Oh, I did get Amelia''s passport done (thanks msf for the website link) and her pic makes her look...uh...wrong.

J was cranky for a good month before the teeth erupted, but then again, I think she''s just a cranky little thing.
What I did notice is that she liked to put her fingers in her mouth underneath her tongue and yanked at her jaw.
After her teeth erupted, she stop doing that. Does Amelia do that with her hands?

Still can''t see her teeth yet, but I can definitely feel them.
They definitely leave their marks when she bit down on my hand.

puffy--
like the rest of the ladies said .... answer is NO.
I''m surprised they have the gull to ask you to leave him with them after the incident with the stairs.
I guess since he *almost* fell doesn''t count in their book.

msb
Yay for DH offering to look after little K.
It''s amazing how refreshed we get just getting that one extra hour to uninterrupted sleep.
Re: clips. I got them from the mom4life site that TGal posted. there''s a online coupon that she directed us to too....at retailmenot.com
Etsy.com has some really cute felt clips that QT posted -- they are 3D.

QT
Was going to ask SIL what she used for her son''s cradle cap.
She swore by that shampoo.
It sounds like you don''t need it now :)

Tacori YIKES and AWWWWW at the same time for her first kiss!!! sounds like the tow of them are quite fond of each other! and i love watching babies dance and wiggle! it has got to be one of the cutest things. i''m trying to get brady to make the kissing sound and pucker up at the same time. he''s only been able to do one at a time, so when i tell him to kiss he either puckers up and leans in for a big wet one or he''ll make the *MUAH* sound. funny little guy. i''m sure there are going to be plenty more kisses coming T''s way.

lili when Brady was about 3 months, i stopped nursing in the middle of the night because he didn''t need it anymore and he just slept through the night. so my milk supply went WAY down, and i was way too lazy to wake up in the middle of the night to pump and then clean everything. so by the time he woke up for his morning feed, i was way engorged. but now he''s 9.5 months and i still have enough milk to keep nursing. as long as J''s still nursing through out the day, i think you should be ok. seems like 1 year is the goal for many...i''m planning on weaning right around 1 year. how is the J doing?

qt Brady had the worse cradle cap ever!!! i didn''t know what to do anymore. he had it on his forehead and all over his scalp. it even got infected because it was so itchy (most cases of cradle cap are not itchy), he would scratch at it all night long. i even took his to the dermatologist for it, and he''s all better now. but it sounds like M''s isn''t too bad. just don''t pick at it!!

Curly--yay for 3 cm!! That''s great. I am sure you''ll be even further dialted when u actually go into labor and hopefully it will be a speedy delivery! Can''t wait to see the new addition...

Lili--i can''t get much when i pump either. But i know Cohen is getting tons of milk cuz i can hear him gulping it. I wonder if the flow is different now or something? i haven''t officially hit the BF 6 month mark, but it''s so close i was excited to prematurely report it. In the beginning the 6 month mark seemed like an eternity away. It''s great that u want to do the year as well. I''ve heard some kids will actually wean themselves and if that is the case i will obviously have no choice in the matter but a year is my goal as well.

Tacori--OMG the first Kiss ?! That is so funny and precious. can''t believe she went in for seconds
4.gif

Is it wrong that iam kinda annoyed that another teacher from the school i work at just named her son Cohen (annoys me a tad b/c we work together each day, it''s an unusual name and it''s not even that nice
3.gif
) obviously tons of kids have the same name but i think it just bugs me cuz she bugs me-ha.

off to bed, night all

Lili, she hasn't taken her first steps yet but when she rests her hand on my shoulder (and cruises) I barely feel any pressure. She also uses this toy walker thing really well.

Puffy, it was a little *yikes* but they are so young they have NO idea what they are doing. Baby kisses are so slobbery and she doesn't pucker really yet. More like your mouth is when you are taking a drink of water (or something). I wish we could have gotten it on video. I just couldn't believe she did it twice! The funny thing is she has ALWAYS shown preference for that twin. It was cute and the twin looked like he wanted more!
23.gif
We might be in trouble
38.gif

ETA: jas12, T TOTALLY weened herself!
20.gif
What a diva. I would have gone longer (even with all my problems) I am so stubborn. Haha. I would be annoyed if a co-worker named her child the same as T (b/c I think it is also a more uncommon name). Oh well. Not much you can do so I guess remind yourself that imitation is the greatest flattery. I cannot believe she went in for seconds either! She is not really a kisser/hugger yet but she is getting more affectionate. This twin has ALWAYS been lovey.

puffy~Yes, a very long time until we think of making significant others happy...at least 25 years right?
2.gif

misspinky~Thanks! I get sinus infections too and they are really horrible. I can't imagine how terrible it must be for a baby to have one! Cute first plane pic!

msb~THanks. UPS man would be funny!

QT~Thanks!

Tacori~Homeless?!?! That is so heart-breaking! Last year our spring break was late March and it started on Good Friday, but Easter was sooo early last year! This dancing thing sounds adorable! Oh, and a first kiss....I can't quit smiling. Sooo cute!

iluvcarats~So sorry for the rough night, I can totally relate! Mine had a fever also and would not sleep unless something was touching me! Would have been okay, except she's a pretty wiggly sleeper and she gave me a fat lip when she head-butted me in the middle of the night! So sad when our kiddos are sick! I don't do coffee, but I do an awful big soda!!

curly~ooooh...so close! I'll be checking in to read the story and see some pics! Good luck!

Diver~I understand where you're coming from. I've had to have the deoderant and clean clothes talks with a few middle school kids (so many more things involved in being a teacher than just teaching a class). Some parents are just clueless! But, if Jake enjoys it, that's good.

lili~THanks!

Well, last night was rough. T woke around midnight and would not go back down in her crib. She slept with us. She was fussy at times during the day and such a mommie's girl. She just cuddled all day long. Sooooo not like her. She's usuallly an independant woman. I was hoping she'd feel better by now since she has had two doses of the antibiotic in her, but I don't think that's the case. I feel so darn bad for her. Her nose has gotten all red from us wiping it all the time. I think I remember reading about a couple of you giving your LO's benadryl? Tacori, did you try it for the plane ride or something, or am I just making this up??? If anyone has, how much did you give them? T is so tired but the poor girl struggles to sleep. I thought of doing some benadryl to help her get some good sleep.

Burk, wouldn''t you know it T does NOT get sleepy with benadryl. I was a bad mama and tried to drug her. The dosage is according to weight. You could call your pedi office and ask (most have nurses answer phones after hours).

I need to get a video of her dancing b/c it is so funny! She shakes it for sure
2.gif
Oh the teenage years...I am starting to get scared! Party girl with loose lips
6.gif

Just a quick update - AMELIA TOOK A NAP!

For nearly two hours yesterday. We were shopping and she fell asleep in her stroller, stayed asleep in the car home and for long enough to let me unload the car then have a coffee. This is a first!

No sign of a repeat today though...

Bobo, how is little B today? I''m thinking about you.

Diver, dirty kids would horrify me! So would spending time in a classroom, I''m impressed that you did it!

Tacori- hey, guess what? Benadryl doesn''t make Amelia sleep either! She had some today after her shots and she is 100% sleep resistant LOL.

I think i recall reading somewhere that benedryl can have the opposite effect on sleep under a certain age
34.gif

MM--yay for Amelia taking a nap. Was there anything out of the ordinary that u think caused her to sleep (so u can zone in on it and try to repeat it each day?) Maybe it''s the start of something (fingers crossed)...

Not much to report here--another sleepless night
39.gif
(i hate reporting that over and over -feel like such a whiner). Charlie hurt his back at work and could barely walk this morning- so we are all in rough shape and in need of some TLC. My best friend offered to come stay for the weekend and take over--so sweet of her but not doable. I will however take her up on the offer sometime
5.gif

Smile Cookies are out at Timmy''s (for all you canadians) i think i''ll treat myself to one since it goes to a good cause
11.gif

Puffy - Thanks for asking. He is better today. What a cutie in your avatar!

Tacori - Like I said before, you are both adorable.

Burk - Thanks for commiserating with me. He isn''t restless, but he grinds his teeth.(who knew?)
So that lovely noise compounded with the 75lb dog jumping on the bed at 4am made for a miserable night.
Poor DH had to get up at 5:30 and had a big day at work.
But DS is good today. The other good news is that since having kids, my memory has disappeared, (i''m convinced that part of my brain was delivered with the placenta each time) so by tomorrow I won''t even remember anything happened!LOL
Love your avatar too!

Burk, it does make my sister sad. But I guess that''s part of living in a huge city and working for a public inner city school. Did T sleep okay last night?

Jas12, it did not make her hyper but just had no affect. Hope Charlie feels better and Co starts sleeping soon!

MrsM, yay for A''s nap!!!
36.gif
I can''t imagine what it would be like with a non napper. Hopefully once she gets more active/mobile she''ll get more tired.

iluv, thank you again! No one has called me adorable in quite sometime. Glad to hear your son is feeling better. I totally agree with you on the memory thing except my lack of memory started when I got my BFP. I couldn''t remember anything while preggo and it is worse now that I am a mom.

Tacori, Miss Tessa is such a little heartbreaker!!!! You''re going to have to keep an eye on her! I remember when Lily started getting mauled with kisses and hugs by an older boy at her daycare. It was cute but almost too surreal for me to see my little girl getting kissed by a boy!!!
3.gif

Thank you everyone for the labor vibes. I have to say that I''m surprised that this child is making me sweat it out till the bitter end!! I was convinced that all 2nd babies come early but I guess not. Although I still have 2 days till my official due date. I''ll keep you all posted!!

Linda

Well, she took a 20 minute nap today - not so great but better than nothing, right?

Jas, I'm so sorry you are having sleep problems, it just makes everything sooo hard. Thinking about you and hoping you get some rest soon.

Tacori, I was catching up with this thread (moves pretty fast!) earlier and I saw that lovely pic of you and Tessa. Oh, she's her mommy's girl for sure! The two of you are supercute and you look so happy together. Thanks for sharing, it's a sweet photo!

I got the ok from Amelia's Dr to give her a little baby rice in the evenings, to see if she'll go back to sleeping through the night again (amen to that!). I was prepared for mega mess but she was surprisingly neat and very very enthusiastic! Possibly she was just too hungry to want to waste any. She eventually got bored with her parents' slow pace and just helped herself.

Here's the look she gives us when we take her away from the table if there is so much as a scrap left in her bowl! She is NOT pleased with her Daddy here!

dhandameaferdinner.JPG

This is the pic that made us think she might be prepared to take a little solid food...

amedinnerplate.JPG

mrsm so cute she is!!! she has s much hair too just like me little guy. and yippy for a nap!

jas12 sorry to hear about your sleepless night. is he teething or he just can''t seem to settle? and your poor DH...hope your family has a better day and night.
here''s my little guy after his hair cut, or trim i should say. i think he only had about 1/2-3/4 of an inch taken off the front and sides. he was in the middle of saying "hi." he does that when he sees the camera. he loves being at my parents house...

bradypic.jpg

Love all the cute pixs, it really cheers me up.

We got discharged Tuesday and I''m back at work. I''ve been busy googling on Kawasaki and the more I learned the more I''m depressd by it. It''s like a heart attack on a baby''s heart. Plus with him on aspirin I need to watch out that he don''t get flu or chicken pox.

He will be on aspirin for the next two months and need a echo on the heart two weeks later and another one two months later.

I know I shouldn''t beat myself up but I feel it''s my fault. I must have done something wrong while I was pregnant with him.

Tacori~Thanks. I called the doc''s and nurse made me make another appointment!! She said that if T isn''t getting any better since taking the antibiotics (and she''s developed a cough) that I need to see the doctor and discuss it with him along with have him check her out. Nurse said that T might have bronchitis now!!!
6.gif
She did sleep good last night, after waking at 10pm screaming. I tried to pat her back, give her binky back, pick her up and cuddle and nothing. Finally just gave in and brought her into our bed. Slept pretty good with us....I hardly got any sleep, however.

Mrsm~yay for a nap. Small victories. Since T''s been sick she''s struggling to sleep. I don''t know how you do it without naps! And those pics are so cute. I cannot get over how much hair she has!!

Jas~Sorry about the continuing sleeplessness and about Charlie''s back.

iluvcarats~Glad your little guy is feeling better. My memory is gone, too. Side effect of having babies I guess. Works to my advantage some times, but other times I forget important work stuff! Whoops!

puffy~Cute pic of B! You and mrsm and your full-headed kids. T is jealous!!!

Bell rang. Kids coming. Be back later.

Bobo: Thank you for checking in...i am so sorry that ur going thru this and little B too.. please please please dont think this is your fault. I know as mothers we can''t help but feel guilty when we see our children in pain/sick, but this is not your fault...sending you big hugs...

MrsM: Yay for the 2 hr nap!! (and the 20 min too :) )..love all the pics

Burk: im so sorry that T is sick too
7.gif
must be rough on you to see her like that..hope she feels better soon..

Jas12: Hope the family recovers soon
7.gif
..and id be annoyed too if someone else chose the same name as my son..i mean there are SOOOO many names to choose from, why MY son''s name? :) then again i realize i dont OWN the name, but still...totally understand how ur feeling!

iluv: hope ur son is feeling better now..

Puffy: what a handsome boy

tacori: awwww!! how cute is that?? did u manage to get a picture of the ''action'' ?
9.gif

lili: Thanks for the link :) i''ve already ordered a bunch from mom4life and just got an email that they will ship within 24 hours..yay!
36.gif

Is it me, or are PS babies getting sick all at once???

Bobo--glad B has been discharged from the hospital. Of course there is *nothing* u did wrong while pregnant. Kids get sick. period. Just think about how great of a mom you are for pointng out those symptoms.
Wishing little B a speedy recovery and hope u feel better too (no more guilt!)

Burk_-poor T, i hope she doesn''t have bronchitis, good that she was at least comforted sleeping with you. Cohen hasn''t been sick yet but i just think back to being a kid and wanting mom to be close to me when i was feeling yucky. I am sure it is the same with babies and toddlers. I don''t think it is ''giving in'' to bring a baby into bed when sick or fussy, it''s ''giving love''. Hope you get some rest too. Seems like most of us are sleep deprived these days.

Ok, my posts may be a little bit behind.

MrsS
Hehe, look at that sweet potato.
Can he get any messier? -- too cute.

Burk
Can't wait to see T as a little poodle.
You may need to give us a sneak peek
41.gif

Sorry to hear that T is not feeling well and sleeping well.
Seems like most babies are sick lately.

J has her first cold -- yup, just 3 days into daycare and she's down with the runny nose.
We saw it coming when we dropped her off on the first day -- two babies were crawling around with snots streaming down their nose
32.gif

Diver
You are one HOT mama.
Looking good woman
5.gif

Daner is so big and beautiful.
I'm actually surprised she didn't give you her cheesier grin on the cupcake picture
9.gif

Jas12
Awww..sorry you are having such a hard time with Co at night.
7 times a night -- that's pretty much waking on the hour.
You need to hand Co off to someone and get some zzz's yourself.

ackk...

just deleted all my responses from Ella onward.
should have down it on words first.
i''ll be back later.

Hi PS Mommies.
Thank you all for asking about my son.
He is doing much better, and I really appreciate your support.
Everyone is so nice and friendly here in the mommy thread!
I have been lurking here awhile, keeping up with all of your cuties.
Maybe I am bias, but PS has some of the cutest babies I have ever seen!
9.gif

So I just want to say hi
35.gif
to you all!

This is me and my son
