Oh Tgal I am sooo sorry. I can''t imagine what you must be feeling now, but I send you some hugs & prayers.

xoxo

TGal: I am so so sorry to hear about ur loss

TGal: I am so sorry to hear about your dad. We'll all be thinking about you and your family.

Everyone else: Are y'all really finding that this two/three thread thing is really helping things slow down or making it easier? If anything I feel like it's making it harder to keep track of everything! This thread is still moving super fast, and we miss y'all on the Pregnant Pser's thread (I know some of you are coming over, but we miss you all!)

Maybe I am alone in this thinking though...am I?

Makes me wonder if we should make the tabbed/other thread for Pregnant Psers and Mommies together...

Tgal - So sorry to hear about your Dad. I am glad he got to meet and hold Amelia.

Hey ladies...thanks very much for your thoughtful words.
1.gif
But enough sad talk...didn''t I ask for pictures?! Post, mammas!!
2.gif

neatfreak, I actually like this format. It''s easier for me to keep up for some strange reason...maybe because it''s in parts and I can catch up with one, then take time to catch up with the other.

TGal
Hugs to you.
I''m so glad that he was able to meet Amelia.
He''s in a better place now.

Jas12
that''s what i''m sticking to

yup, a good support bra and a girdle for me too.

so did you ever find a store that sell the replacement parts?
which breast pump do you have?

mine were like empty little bags of skin when i got married last year (breastfeeding they were a d-cup, last year they were a large a-cup! now they are back to d''s and i haven''t even started BFing yet!)
jen

Ha, i hear you on that.
that''s how mine are at times when she emptied them, especially during those growth spurt times.

Anyway, sorry to hear that $$ is tight.
Wow, $500 is alot. Can''t believe that''s with insurance.
Will this cover your L&D later or is that a separate charge?

yeah, i love those sleep laughs.
so many times i wanted to take a picture, but stopped myself because i didn''t want to risk waking the little monster
32.gif

so how are you holding up in the heat?

agreed.
i admit both threads move just as fast, if not faster, as before.
but it is easier to keep track of what every is saying without having to weave through too many different topics.

I agree too...though this thread moves fast too, but for some reason it is easier for me to keep track of things here...

Indy, I DO think that certain things help with her physical development. I agree that her IQ is set but things like making her legs stronger (you should see how she jumps around in her exerscauser) or giving her motivation to roll is important. Plus she has FUN! Yes some babies skip certain milestones (like go right to walking) and are fine. I guess I just don''t understand why people should comment about NOT getting baby stuff in a baby stuff thread
33.gif
I do not like the look of typical baby stuff either and think I have done a good job picking the less offensive items (did you see my awesome high chair?) Lots of us mamas HAVE style.

I''m so sorry, TGal. Sending along wishes of peace and comfort to you and your family ...

Jas12: looooove the pic u posted! thats so sweet :)

sk8rjen: sorry to hear about the money issues
7.gif
hopefully things will start looking up soon..but $500 is a lot to spend every month !!

hoping this might help put a smile on ur face :)

we were playing peek-a-boo with a blanket..hence all the messy hair =)

Jas, that photo of Charlie and Co is so sweet!
30.gif
I agree with Lili that you need to side-by-side frame that one with the b&w one of you and Co -- that one was lovely, too! But I guess that''s what happens when you''ve got a gorgeous photogenic family like you do!

And I agree -- more photos please!! I need my fix of little B, the Amelias (TGal''s and MrsM''s), Co, Jake, Tessa, Lily, Delaney (and Jake!), Jadelyn ... (OK, I think that''s everyone, right??)

TGal, I cannot find my camera cord! So this one was taken a few weeks ago but really shows off her famous crooked smile. It gets crooked when she is really happy. So funny. This is for you friend!

Tgal, I am so sorry for your loss, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Same with your little guy! So cute. I love his hair. She was crawling around and snooping in her diaper bag.

Tgal--*hugs* to you. I think your Dad must have passed away a proud man.

Lili--i have the medela swing breast pump and yes i did find parts from a woman who runs her own business. When i called to double check that i ordered the right parts the husband of the owner said that sterilization "mishaps'' (aka almost burning down the house) are the number one reason ppl need new parts. He did it too and ruined $500 pots and pans!
5.gif

And re: boobs--yep, deflated balloons going on here as well--yuck

Jen--hopefully the kiddies will cooperate at home and find things to entertain themselves (either that or ship em off to some relative

I really can''t get over the cost of health care in the states. i couldn''t imagine having to have to pay for any kind of medical service, jsut seems weird--and i could not afford to! You can come live at my cottage, deliver that twins here and sneak back to the states hehe

T-Gal, biggest hugs outgoing to you and your family. I don''t have any human babies to post pics of but my furry sons send you big tail-waggin'' doggie smiles!

Burk, that photo of Tayva is just precious!! It''s amazing how far they can get with just rolling. That was Lily''s main way of moving for a while before she started crawling. She would literally roll across a whole room. Too cute!

ella, those photos are to die for!!!!! What little characters you have there. They seem like so much fun, great personalities! How is K''s rash? It could just be heat rash.

TGal, again, I''m sorry for everything you''re going through. I know it''s gotta be hard to deal with all the emotions and also be strong for your little girl. You might want to table your swaddle weaning experiment for a while as she is still really young and with everything you ahve going on, you need some rest. Have you tried the Swaddle Me instead of the Miracle Blanket? You can leave her arms out but her legs will still be velcroed in so it might work better.

jas12, the pictures of Co in his hooded towel and the one with daddy are simply gorgeous!! What a cutie pie!

neatfreak, I actually prefer this format as well. It makes it so much easier to keep track and I think it''s more beneficial to all of us to keep them separate. It can be hard to concentrate on the pregnant thread because there is too much going on.

Tacori, I can''t tell you how much I have been wishing we still had the PM system!!!! I know EXACTLY what you mean and I think you handle things better than I would!
2.gif
LOVE Miss Tessa''s crooked smile--she is just adorable!

msb, could K be any cuter?! He and Lily need to travel across the continents for a date!

So here''s a cute story for my mommy friends! Lily has a belly button obsession. She loves mine, she recently figured out that DH has one too and about a week ago, she found hers while she was in the bathtub. So apparently, belly buttons are real sources of entertainment! She and I will lay on the couch every night and she''ll pull up my shirt and poke my belly button which is really not too pretty these days but she doesn''t care! She thinks it''s so much fun. Well last night, she was poking away and she got poked back!! The baby started moving and she was literally in shock. She stared at me in awe, started giggling hysterically and proceeded to give my belly tons of big open mouthed wet kisses with full MWAH sound effects (although it came out more like "MAH"!). Oh my god, I was practically in tears and I think DH nearly fell off the couch. It was too darn cute. I know she''s not old enough to know what''s going on but for that brief moment, I felt so happy and believed that everything is going to be ok with my 2 girls!

TGal, this is for you. Lily went to her friend Noah's 2nd birthday party at the Little Gym and had a blast. She's taking a little breather from all the excitement here!

Hey Mommies, I love all the baby pictures on this thread, such cutie pies!

I have been reading the Preggo Stuff Thread, and your recommendations are awesome, it will save so much time (one day!) if I don't have to read up on all this stuff myself! Some of the things I had heard of before, like the exersaucer and a swing, but lots of it I had not heard of, like certain brands of strollers, the miracle blanket, nursing tanks, pack n' play, and Bumkins bibs.... and on and on... So Thanks!

Here is my question: Did you tend to get most of this stuff at your showers? Except the big ticket items, of course... I have noticed that family and friends can be so generous at baby showers, it is a little overwhelming, I am sure! I would love to start shopping as soon as I get a little further along in my pregnancy, because who doesn't like shopping
2.gif
, but if you think that showers typically cover most of it I will hold off...

Curly, that story about Lily is too cute! You should write that one in the baby books as the first example of Big Sisterly Love
21.gif
And as always, the photo of Ms. L is adorable! She should model for wherever you buy her clothes (Gymboree, right?)!

I just caught up with the baby necessities thread to see what Tacori was talking about. Made me laugh! Yes, maybe certain things aren''t *necessities* but we too would be lost without our swings, jumperoo, and exersaucer. And while I agree that not everything needs to have a million bells and whistles - half of my day is spent on a blanket watching them eat foam bath letters or stare at the cat and laugh - I do think that they need a lot of different things to keep them occupied/stimulated. While lying down and taking things in is good for a 6-week-old, that doesn''t fly for a 6-month-old!

msb and tacori, love the pix!! Tessa''s famous crooked smile is pretty darn cute! And of course we all love little K''s curls and big smile!

Sk&r, oh bless you, woman! You''ve definitely got a full plate in front of you, eh? I wish I could send someone (not me
2.gif
) to go help you with your boys so you can relax for even a day ...

So not to be gross or anything, but when you started giving solids, did your babies poop like nonstop? I think every diaper is poopy these days!

here''s my laughing girl! (i hope this isn''t huuuuuuuge ... )

laughing_k_collage (Medium).jpg

And mah boy! The 1st pic makes me laugh b/c of those many chins!

gabies_collage (Medium).jpg

ellaila: From the few pics I have seen of you and your hubby, I think that ''K'' looks so much like you and ''G'' looks so much like your hubby... do you hear this in real life, or is it just me? They are both so cute!

Dreamer, yep we hear that all the time! I def. see that K is a mini-me, but neither Q nor I see G being a mini-him -- but everyone else sees it! I think once Gabe''s cheeks trim down some, then maybe I''ll be able to see who he looks like. To me, he just looks like a supercute baby right now
21.gif
Thanks for the compliment!

As for your question about buying/registering ... we got our snap-and-go, pack-and-play, BOB stroller, and swing all as shower/baby gifts (all were registered for). We got the exersaucer and jumperoo from friends who were very excited to get those BIG items out of their houses once their kids weren''t using them anymore! We also got tons of clothes both as gifts and as hand-me-downs. So while I guess it depends on how big your shower is/how generous your friends and family are, I personally would wait to buy stuff till after the shower. I think you''ll be surprised at how much stuff you get! People love buying cute baby things ...
