TGal, DH and I are going to Vancouver to visit my little brother. I am so excited. So I will bring it for that. I brought my Nikon to the park. I did get a few funny looks. I also brought it my friend''s twin b-day party (but she has one so I knew she would appreciate it) and one of the parents was like ''oh, are you a journalist.'' No, just an obsessed mom. Bwahah! I''ll let you know when I find the link (just in case). Their website is HORRIBLE BTW!
Tacori, have you found you like the photos better off the Nikon?

Amazon is what we call a virtual wild wild west. They have a policy that they never take down old or discontinued product, so there''s always so much to weed through. But they are an organized company when it comes to what they personally stock and I have never had a problem with them. When I visited their office in Seattle, I was so surprised at their reception area...filing cabinets right there and the desk looked like particle board over a couple of cabinets. Really down to earth. The rest of their office looks nice and hip though. Typical of 90''s dot.com type companies.

TGal, I know what you mean.It is annoying they still list stuff that is out of stock or discontinued.

I do notice a difference. The depth is SO much better with the Nikon that my canon. The pictures seem crisper and the colors more vivid. I am enjoying it.

TGal--
Yay for Amelia clapping and doing the raspberry, hehe.
Any progess on getting mobile?

MrsM--
Poor Amelia. Teething bites.
Hopefully her second one comes up quickly.
Glad to hear that your milk supply is back to normal
36.gif
36.gif

Mine too. I read that every now and then, we should jumpstart our milk production by devoting one day to pumping/nursing every few hours.

Tacori--
Tessa is so darn cute in her winter gears
30.gif

Love her polka dot hat and mittens.
Poor thing, but you know that cuts and bruises are imminent during those toddler years, especially one like lil miss independent here
41.gif

J is not even a toddler and she''s got so many scrapes already.

Jas12--
Awee....those are great shots of Co & Obama.
He's getting so big.
Love his nice round head
30.gif

Sorry to hear about the restless night.
Could he be teething?
J has nights like those too (but then again, most of her nights are like that).
On top of that, she was having some fever.
Turned out that she's got teeth coming in everywhere -- more than I can count.
I think I spot like 8 (4 on top and 4 on bottom)
32.gif

Teething is a pain for both baby and mommy.

Tacori, Tessa is so cute all bundled up in the snow! I love the pink and brown! I don''t have any tips but I''m sorry to hear about your sleep issues. I hope it gets better soon. Do you have a lot on your mind? I find that when I am thinking too much, I can''t sleep well. Just read about your DH snoring - that could be it. I hope your sleep improves and hope Tessa gets better soon.

jas12, what a cute picture of Co watching Obama! Yay for sharing our excitement! Hope last night was a fluke.

MrsS, hope Jake has a better night too.

Diva, I''m glad things are going well! Yay for superhubby! I need to check out your SMTR thread!

puffy, I think D is hungry in the middle of the night. I can''t calm him down otherwise, so I nurse him. He hasn''t been napping in his crib. I''ve tried and he always cries when I put him down drowsy. Good luck with getting your room organized and moving up your TTC timeline!
1.gif

janine, we put D to bed earlier (before he''s tired) around 8 or 9, we play with him a bit and then he''ll get tired, we give him paci for a few minutes, he''ll spit it out when he''s calm, eyes are closed, then he falls asleep. I would say 90% of the time he''ll put himself to sleep for the night. Once in a while, we''ll have to hold him. Maybe he likes us near him because during the day, he doesn''t want to nap and he never falls asleep himself. We have to hold him, rock him, and often times walk around for him to fall asleep! And sometimes he won''t let us put him down. I know I shouldn''t hold him while he sleeps but I don''t know how else to get him to take a nap!
40.gif

Burk, sorry to hear about your car accident and that he took off! I hope you are okay!

lili oh man...poor J!! she''ll have a full set of teeth in no time, but i think that the canines and molars tend to take longer to come in, so she''ll get a nice little break in there.

snlee sounds like D is doing really well sleeping wise at night! good for you to be able to move up his bedtime! thanks!! i am hoping these closet people really know what they are doing!

tacori how exciting! when do you guys leave? i take my nikon EVERYWHERE!!! haha, i am way obsessed!! which mac book did you end up getting?

Hi Mommies!
Hope everyone is well, and all of the sickies are felling better.
Here is a picture of my son''s fort that he built in the family room
6.gif

I don''t have the heart to take it down (yet)
He has all of the things a little boy needs in there.
A weapon, an Ugly Doll, a playmobil skatepark, and a pinball machine LOL
He likes to spy on me. (I''ll have to remember to thank my SIL for the Spy Gear she sent
20.gif
)
He has this motion sensor that he surreptitiously hides everywhere, and an alarm sounds when it is crossed.
I set that darn thing off all day long. It sounds like I am shoplifting all day!
He gets the biggest kick out of being sneaky. (uh oh
23.gif
he is going to be trouble!)

samfort01.jpg

Lili, her nose looks WORSE today (two days later). It is one big scab. Poor thing. You are right, more bruises for our little indie girls.

snlee, thanks. I can''t blame DH completely b/c I usually go to bed first. I can only blame him for WAKING me up not for me having trouble falling asleep. How''s D?

puffy, we are going in April (w/o T
36.gif
). I am excited b/c I have never been (neither has DH). We are renting a car to see the sites plus it will be nice to meet my brother''s friends, see his school, apartment, etc...haven''t decided on the mac but leaning toward the macbook. Honestly I have never felt limited with my design work with my current ibook. $300 might be better used for a fun stacker or a new purse
11.gif

iluv, so funny! Spy gear! Haha! He looks like he is up to go good for sure. Maybe you need to get your own alarms and scare him.
2.gif

Jas12, I didn''t want to hijack TGal''s thread but I do wear my Tessa ring almost everyday. I do have some other stackers and just bought these gold ones so I switch off but I find myself grabbing the Tessa ring most often. I know we will have more children so I really wanted a band I could stack. I think you need something to celebrate Co''s life for sure
27.gif
Maybe someday his daughter could have it (if he has one). How sweet would that be?

I don''t know about alarms, but I think when he is a teenager I will need some *spy gear* of my own
11.gif

I hope T''s nose gets better soon. Ava was the opposite - she was overly cautious. She talked at 8 months.
Her first word? uh oh
Your trip sounds fun.
We just took our first trip w/out kids last week. (I know, pretty lame since they are 9 and 6 already)
DH had a meeting in Vegas.
It was my first time there. I have never seen such bling shopping!
Tiffany''s, Cartier, Fred''s, Fred Leighton, Chanel - everything!
Didn''t win big though
39.gif

When they say "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas", they are talking about your $
38.gif

So, I called TWC. I''m fine but I would just think they''d want their employees driving vehicles that say "Time Warner Cable" safely!!!

Tgal~Thanks. I''ll add it to the list of reasons I hate TWC for sure!!

Puffy~Hope your appointment with the closet people goes well! On my list for the next house is a HUGE master closet! Looks like that won''t be for a month or two since we''ve recently decided to sell out of the bar/restaurant we are part owners of.

Tacori~Poor Tessa''s nose.
7.gif
It probably looks worse than it feels, though! Sorry you''re having trouble sleeping. My DH snores too and I struggle if he falls asleep first. I also think too much and can find myself laying there thinking of bills I need to pay or a chore around the house I need to do instead of going to sleep!
20.gif
So fun that you''re taking a trip to Vancouver!! I''ve never been.

Mrsm~So glad you were able to get your supply back up! Poor Amelia with the teething!

Jas12~Sorry about Co''s rough night. Was last night better? I ditto what Tacori said about her ring...I wear my push present every day. I plan to get another stacker with each kid.

snlee~Thanks. We went through a spurt where T would only nap in our arms when she was sick and I can''t lie, I kind of enjoyed it.
31.gif

iluv~that pic of the fort is great!!! So cute what can occupy a child for hours on end! I''ve never been to Vegas. Glad you were able to go have a good time with your DH.

Tayva hasn''t been napping well at daycare which is resulting in poor night sleep. She woke up at 6:30 today ready to play (I usually have to wake her at 7:45) and by the time we left at 8:30 was so tired she fell asleep on the way to daycare. I wish she would take a nap longer than 45 minutes at daycare!!!
15.gif

iluv, I think we will ALL need spyware! Haha.

Burk, what did TWC say? Was there damage to your car? Poor T. Hope she starts napping better.

Tacori~I left a voicemail and no one has called me back! It doesn''t look like we have any damage, although DH says he needs to clean it so we know for sure! I am just sick about this napping thing. I hate that within an hour of being home with me she''s tired and crabby. I feel guilty because she naps better at home and feel like I should just be staying home with her (even though the reason she doesn''t nap well there is because she LOVES daycare and wants to play and socialize). Arghh...the agony we go through as parents over things that I would have never DREAMED being so important 2 years ago!
21.gif

iluv your son''s fort is great!!

tacori that''s great you and your DH get to enjoy a little getaway. how long are you going for? i bet you guys can''t wait. are the ILS watching T? haha, now you''re talkin girl!! a new purse or a stacker...yeah better get the macbook and something else on the side!

burk i hope starts to nap much better at daycare so she''ll be back to her normal schedule. although it is kinda cute that all she wants to do is socialize with the other kids or distract them from sleeping as well
6.gif

my master closet is huge, but just not organized very well. i have stuff everywhere in that closet, but i know where things are. and part of the problem is that i just don''t feel like shoes back in the box on the top shelf when i know i will be wearing them again. i''m BAD!! so have you decided to build or buy?

Tacori
So true!

Burk
Vegas was a lot of fun.
It is definitely it''s own universe.
Sorry you are having napping troubles.
It''s hard, but just know there is no *perfect* answer, and all that self inflicted guilt will do is make you feel bad.

Thanks Puffy!
He had help from the biggest kid of all (DH)
9.gif

How is cute little B doing?
TTC? How exciting!

puffy~It is rather entertaining that she won''t nap because she''s too darn social! They had to rearrange the crib area and move her to the back out of view of some of the other kids she was distracting! We bought the organizing things that can be moved so as long as my closet is big (since they are currently in a 14X 14 bedroom) I should be plenty organized. You better post pics when it''s all done. We''re probably going to build if nothing amazing goes on the market in the next month or so.

iluv~You are right. It''s hard not to personalize it...especially when she''s crabby and ready for bed at 6pm and I''ve only been home with her for a couple hours. I''m trying to just enjoy the time I do have and not worry about the rest.

puffy--
that's good to know that she'll get a break from the teething for a while.
can't wait to see the results of your closet.
how's B doing? learning more new tricks?

iluvcarats--
sam is a funny boy.
seeing that fortress brings back memories.
believe it or not, my siblings and i would build fortresses on our beds and in the trees when we were kids -- so much fun.

tacori--
hehe, is it bad that i want to see Tessa with her little injury? :D
oh, can you post your push pressy again?

burk--
sorry to hear about your accident with TWC.
you should probably write them (snail mail or email).
you get results much faster when you have a complaint in writing.

hehe, had to laugh about Tayva and her crib being moved at daycare.
they had to move J's mat over to the door because she was disrupting the other kids when she wakes up -- no she was not social.
she basically made a beeline to the door to come out and play. shortest distance is a straight line, so that means she'll crawl over the other sleeping kids
41.gif

Hope Tayva gets her longer naps at daycare.

lili~I laughed out loud when I read about J crawling over the other kids! That's so funny! Yesterday they put her down for her morning nap at 9:30 and the little stinker played and played and didn't actually fall asleep until 10:20 and then was awake by 10:50! She never fusses, just wants to play and hang out with her friends.
20.gif
We just have busy girls on our hands! DH keeps telling me he thinks we're crazy for ttc (actually not really trying, but not not trying) next month because he thinks keeping up with two is crazy...I say they can entertain each other!!
2.gif

burk building your home is going to be awesome! i wish we could but oh well. well at least T is wanting to play instead of putting up a fuss for nap time.

lili no J does not crawl over the other babies? that is SO FUNNY!!! B is doing well, except for his molars, but that''s to be expected. he now helps me put on my shoes and when we are in the house and he sees that i don''t have my slippers on, he gets them and puts them on my feet. the first time he did that, i was cracking up and he did the silly laugh that he does sometimes, with his hands covering his mouth. when he helps my put on my shoes, he says, "mommy help" so darn cute. it''s so fun watching him do stuff and he''s been doing all kinds of hand movements lately, including riding the motorcycle. we have some friends who put him on a motorcycle and now he does that a lot. ok, no more bragging.... i bet you can''t wait for J do all sorts of craziness.

iluv, your son''s fort looks cool! I remember my brother and I playing under tables - fun!

Burk, hope T naps better. Glad you are okay!

lili, I laughed out loud too when I read about J crawling over the other kids! So funny!

puffy, B sounds so cute! I can''t wait to meet you two. Speaking of which, I will get my baby ring TOMORROW! Thread with pictures coming soon! Let me know when you are free.

D was horrible last night! He was so fussy! He woke up every hour crying/screaming! Maybe teething? Maybe just a fluke? Who knows! Hopefully tonight is better. He''s up a lot more during the day. It''s tiring but so much fun playing with him! He likes to sit up and stand up and smiles and coos all the time! A week ago he started talking to himself. So cute!

lili, your J is hilarious...what a spunky girl!

snlee ooohhhh, i can''t wait for your ring!! im so excited for you! hopefully D will have a better night tonight. when he woke up, did he need to nurse or just some comfort?

puffy, I nursed him around 10, 1, and 5. The rest of the times he just needed comfort. He''s been napping a lot today...probably tired from waking up too many times last night! I hope he sleeps well tonight.

Just saying that I am still hear and reading... been too busy to post.
7.gif

I should not have spoken of sleep training, b/c this week has sucked big time. I am pretty sure it''s b/c we went to T.O for my 30th (new surroundings = frequent wake-ups that carry on for a week while at home). I am so happy it is Friday--in need of rescuing. felt like i had a newborn again this week.

Lili--Tgal is right, J is SO spunky--adorable and pesky she is
2.gif
9.gif
She has so many teeth coming in! How''s that going

Burk--did i miss something about your house plans? Did you decide to build? We just got our plans drawn up and got approval at the bank so we start to build in a few months
36.gif
I am kinda freaking out, but also very excited. Charlie is going to build it himself and he says i have to get to work on interior design...ahhh, i don''t know where to start
6.gif
My mom designs kitchens so i have that covered and my sister has amazing style so i have help, but still, gotta go buy some mags for inspiration. What have u done so far?

Snlee--ohh, can''t wait to see the baby-ring. Tacori and Tgal have me lusting after something right now. I''ve used my internet time this week looking at Tgals phenomenal stone and perusing the color stone thread.

Tacori--i showed charlie your tessa ring and he really liked it (i think the engraving is what did it for him--he''s a sucker for sentiment) but then he said "but i don''t think co wants to wear a pink ring"...and strolled away ... (don''t worry, he''s not off the hook yet!)
...

Co now has identifying toes, mouth, teeth, fingers, tummy and ears down pat. so cute.--Still not doing a proper crawl and still turning his nose up at the sippy (Tgal, i am going to try the born free nipple--thanks for that suggestion)
Has anyone else''s kid started to swipe that them
6.gif
I''ve noticed Co does a little ''get away'' hand wave/slap when i try to do something he''s not happy with --so attitudey. I hope he didn''t pick that up from me or something.?? Charlie thinks it''s hilarious but it won''t be in about a year!!

have a great weekend everyone!

Burk, I hope the guy gets fired. He is an idiot since he was driving his work truck. Hopefully you have no damage though. B sounds so smart. Poor T. At least she is pretty. Haha.

Puffy, we are just going Web-Sun. So it will be short but I am sure nice being w/o the baby. She isn''t easy going like all these other PS babies!\

Lili, her nose looks a bit better today. SO funny that J crawls over the other kids. Totally something T would have done. I haven''t taken any new pics of my ring but you can find my thread here.

snlee, can''t wait to see your new Bev K. Hope you love it as much as I love mine. Hope D had a better night. Don''t you wish he could TALK and EXPLAIN what the problem is?

Jas12, you have another smartie! I was actually worried about T and my sister said not to worry. She said talk to her in 5 years if I still feel like she is behind and most of it was memorization NOT learning. Still...I bet it is SO cute! What about light blue sapphires in WG? I got to choose between 5 shades of pink so I am sure they have a lighter blue. I''m routing for you!

Q, hope you are okay.

Hi mommies
35.gif

I have a really random question. When you register at babies-r-us or other places, do they have your home address? I ask because I want to send my friend a gift for her baby (due in Februrary) but I don''t have her address and I want it to be a surprise.

Tacori-don''t know if you saw in tgals pad thread, but i was wondering if you wear your T-ring everyday ? Or just every so often (sorry if u answered over there, i didn''t head over there yet)
and yep, no need to worry about tessa being behind. early rote ''learning'' is not necessarily a marker of intelligence (and vice versa) and chances are T *knows* all that stuff, she may not be verbalizing/signaling it yet.
Some rote is necessary to assimilate certain things into our brain (like alphabet and numbers)--in teaching it is understood that they go hand in hand. we need to memorize things but, more importantly, work on understanding what it is/where it comes from, so that we can make inferences about other things in the world.

fiery, yes you can send a gift (but the address is not published).

Jas12, I wear it almost everyday. I mean I do have a few other rings that I wear but 90% of the time it is the Tessa ring
16.gif
I do think she understands more than she lets on but who really can tell at this age!?!

puffy~I am really excited about building...it''ll be a long process, though. T never fusses, always just plays at daycare...she saves the fussing for when she''s at home!
20.gif

snlee~Thanks! Did D have a better night last night? I can''t wait to see your Bev K band!! Yay for stacking bands!

35.gif
Hi QT!

Jas12~That''s so exciting that you''ll break ground in a few months!! You didn''t miss much on our house situation: we found a repo and were going to buy it, then looked at new construction, then came back to building again. What a mess. When do you think your house will be move-in ready? Sorry Co''s been having a rough time adjusting to being back at home on a schedule.

Tacori~They didn''t tell me what would happen, but I think he should be fired, too. Why would anyone want someone that would do that in a work truck working for them!

fiery~Yep, they''ll have the address!

I''m home with T today. Poor girl has the stomach flu. She''s been sleeping most of the day, but is pretty happy when she''s up. I so hope I don''t get it....
