LOL yeah, I checked it one minute and then the next time I checked it a few minutes later it had changed. Very nice, but I won't ruin the surprise for everyone else!

YAY it looks great, I''m so glad to see that GOG graduated out of the hobby website creation and into the professional land...that was one of my not-so-secret pet peeves for the last 3 years!! Much better!!

Ha ha, I would''ve been a rotten egg if Mara hadn''t said who it was.

Congrats Jon...it''s great..

Ahh...nearly everything I clicked was under construction or wanted to save itself on my comp.

I at first thought you meant the new video on WF''s page.

Ooo! It looks very nice

Is there not as much content in the 4C''s and More section? It seems like there used to be more... Overall it looks fantastic!

I felt the same way about their old website and I thought it was a little hard to navigate. It looks great now with the new header and background.

maybe it''s just me but the navigation bar on the far right (in firefox) is kinda odd... but anyhow it looks much better than the old site!

Hi guys! Its been a long time!!

Thanks for all the positive comments! :) Three guesses who developed the new site!? :D

Matatora, unfortunately the settings and jewlery parts of the site are under construction. These will be coming along soon.

sunkist, all the content from the old site has been moved over. And I mean ALL! Jonathan has a crap load of content, and there are few things that qualify for that adjective. ;) The old content has been organized, probably why it looks smaller. For example, New Cut Grading has 16 pages, Shape has 20 pages, etc. Jonathan has also written some new articles for the new site.

flopkins, true the right anchored navigation menu is not usually what you see. This is probably because it is a bit more difficult to get the HTML layout to do what you want when trying to anchor to the right or bottom. I like to think that since we read from left to right, that the main content of the page is at home on the left.

IMO, the coolest thing about the new site is the diamond search. You guys should go NUTS with it! Clicking the "Advanced Search" button lets you search on 29 (twenty-nine!) different properties of the diamonds. On the results page, the "Hide/Show Columns" button lets you use any of those 29 properties as column headers in the results.

Check this out... the RSS button at the bottom of the results page gives you an RSS feed for those search results. This means you can put those search results on your Yahoo or Google homepage (or wherever else supports RSS). The RSS feed shows you the most recent items for your search. This means you can constantly be monitoring for when Jonathan posts a new stone that meets your search criteria!

You can get even nuttier! There are services available like this one that will monitor the RSS feed for you, and send you an email the very moment Jonathan adds a new item meeting your criteria. You could have the email sent to your cell phone, which means you will know instantly no matter where you are in the world! :)

Love the new design, but where are the cushions?!?

A big congratulations to Jonathan and everyone who helped to made that site possible....(can''t wait till the rest is finished)....!!!
