Cartier Love bracelet all the way - iconic and classic.

I like the bracelet because it is classy and timeless and can be worn with so many different outfits!

Whilst all the choices are lovely, I agree that the Love bracelet will be something that your wife will wear forever. The necklaces are pretty, but a little grabby hand could damage them. =)2

The Love bracelet. Everytime i spy someone wearing one, my heart does a little pitter patter.

Classic, durable & gorgeous.

Congratulations on the new arrival! Another vote for the love bracelet. I am biased as I got them for the birth of my children. Cartier will engrave it for you (I chose name and date of birth).

Another vote for the Cartier. It’s a classic iconic style that will probably never lose its appeal. I got the love gold ring with three diamonds after the birth of my daughter and it’s become an almost daily staple of mine, and something classy and iconic I can pass down to her one day.

Congrats on your growing family! I am going to go against the grain here and suggest you feel things out to see what the new mom would like. The Cartier bracelet is definitely iconic and would make a wonderful gift (especially engraved!), but I noticed all your other options are necklaces — is the recipient more of a necklace fan?

Love bracelet, unless you've heard her mention a specific necklace that you've chosen.

The second Messika link, or the love pendant are lovely choices.

I have a personal aversion to the love bracelet and know several other women who feel the same. And the other necklaces are a little kitschy for my tastes.

I think perhaps you should mention it to her. People's tastes vary, even if she wants a Love bracelet she will want one specific gold colour. And also a new baby is no joke, you kind of stop wearing a bunch of jewelery because it is too much to deal with not scratching the wriggly baby and the constant feeling that something could have transfered from the soiled nappies and might now be stuck in the crevices of your jewelery -- this makes you feel pretty queasy. I'd present the options to her and ask which one she'd like.

love bracelet!

A necklace will be impractical for many years with a nb - infant - toddler. A bracelet will get more use, although I find that I personally do not like wearing them.

To be honest I do not care for any of them except the cartier bracelet its timeless. the only other suggestion I would make is Van Cleef & Arpel necklace

The Love bracelet is iconic Cartier. Some women have strong feelings regarding the symbolism of “ownership” the Love bracelet conveys (intended to not be taken off, except with a key that her partner might wear or keep...) Other women don’t care. This is not a line that I would gift from without knowing how she feels.

Have you looked at the Cartier Trinity line? A Trinity ring is also iconic Cartier, and “past, present, and future” seems wonderfully appropriate - I can’t think of anything that might change your lives more than a new baby!

Both Tiffany and VCA also have a number of lovely pieces.

Definitely get your wife involved. For the price of the Love bracelet you could buy a fantastic eternity ring which imho is a very classic and wearable choice. (I’m not a fan of the Love line either, although I would consider the cuff style).

I agree! Also, does she wear rose gold? I ask that because if she doesn't, rose gold may not be a good choice. It doesn't always look so great on everyone's skin tone... as much as I love it, I know I won't be buying any rose gold pieces in my future. Also, many on this forum may disagree but rose gold can be "trendy" so I say go for white gold and then yellow gold as a second choice.
