Hi, i''m new to this forum.. i was reading some old posts and found this page and i am amazed to see how cheap the rings are.. am I wrong?

for example http://antiqueengagementrings.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1049

for $6550 ?????????

my e-ring cost was around $8000 and it''s a 1ct. SI1...

this one is 1.6

is this page serious????

the page is serious. keep in mind that an OEC cut stone will face up a lot smaller than a modern cut 1.6 stone. Also a J color will lower the price. You''ll find though that online prices will usually blow away the prices at most local jewelers

That mini appraisal from UGS is an affiliate of EGL, I believe. EGL''s tend to be less expensive than GIA''s, so that could be the difference also.

I found a setting that I LOVE when I looked at that site!! Has anyone ordered from there before??

My stepsister''s engagement ring is from antiqueengagementrings.com- it''s a band of alternating diamond shaped sapphires and square shaped diamonds.

My e-ring is an original antique from antiqueengagementrings.com, and I just adore it. I really don''t think it faces up smaller than a modern, if anything my OEC looks bigger from the bigger facets and table. My ring looks even better in person than it did on the site, I really couldn''t be more pleased!

My fi was very pleased at the customer service and thought working with them was fairly painless. He was very nervous about buying something that expensive online (or at all!), but was very happy at how accommodating they were. They left the ring on the site as unsold so I wouldn''t suspect, and they rushed the ring right out even though they were just leaving on vacation.

I''m certainly going to buy my wedding band from them. I''ve already asked if they could make an alteration to the one I like and they said it was no problem.

My e-ring is from there. It is a RB from the 1950s. I LOVE the ring and Leigh was great for my FI and sis to work with. I got to meet him when browsing for bands, and he was really a nice guy.

When FI was looking, the diamond district was about to go on its 2 week vacation. Leigh was nice enough to list my ring as "out of stock" on his website while my FI pondered whether to buy it. Leigh said that he would have to honor an order from the website if it were made before FI made his decision, and didn''t want to FI to have to deal with that. So, basically, Leigh put it on hold for 2 weeks (thereby guaranteeing that no one else could buy it) for a "maybe" purchase. That is above and beyond in my eyes. He will always get a rec from me!
