IMG_2391.JPG IMG_2392.JPG IMG_2393.JPG IMG_2394.JPG Hi everyone, so far I have only collected darker coloured sapphires. Today I was browsing online and came across this one carat sapphire which the vendor has described as cornflower blue. Could anyone please confirm if this is indeed representative of such a colour? Thanks!

.
I would call it that way.

The picture seems incredible.

I’m not sure, but when I see actual cornflowers, they are close to that color. I love, love cornflowers, by the way.

Whatever you want to call it, I call it fantastic sapphire color!

I think so too. Looks like the right blue with no modifier. Great colour!

Love that one!

It does look to be a pretty blue but I wanted to mention a couple things (since I recognized the seller):

-there is an inclusion that's in all their pictures - I've circled it below
-I worry a little about the actual color since the light is so bright in their hand shots, especially in comparison to the cert pic

However, it could be a great deal if you're okay with those things. :)

100% concur with SparkliesLuver - if you can overlook the eye visible inclusion, and wouldn't mind if its darker and less saturated in real life, then go for it!

Very pretty! I too would proceed with caution on the color - seems a bit TOO saturated to me, although it isn't impossible. If you have a good return policy though, and if the inclusion isn't an issue for you, go for it!

It's important to understand the difference between color and transparency or what I call crystal. Since I am still considered "trade" i am not allowed to comment on specific stones but you may be confusing the two qualities here. However, I can say that the difference between two sapphire both of equally fine color can often be transparency, the more the better.
