For anyone who''s sold a wedding dress (or just had to ship their''s) how exactly did you ship it? Also, about how much did it cost to ship?

Thanks!

I shipped it in a box! No seriously, you can ship it any way you want, just make sure the method you are using will allow it enough insurance to cover yourself.

I used USPS and it was about $27.00 with $1000 of insurance.

ETA: Shipping in the US I assume right? If international DO NOT use anything but USPS or else the person will get hit with major charges on their end.

I''ve shipped 2, and received a couple as well. A regular box is fine, but I would wrap the dress in plastic or a dress bag so it won''t rub on the cardboard. UPS charges more for larger box sizes, even if it doesn''t weigh much, so squish it in good :-). Regular UPS is around $10, but insurance is extra. USPS might be safer, but I like being able to track the box with UPS, just to see where it is...

You can track USPS boxes too. Either by using the "label number" or by paying for tracking (I think it''s called Track and Confirm or something and it''s cheap). Depends which way you send it.

The few times I used the USPS tracking, it doesn''t really say more than "mailed", and a few days later "delivered". Maybe they''ve ubgraded. Thanks
