I recently have been thinking of upgraded, but put the thought aside to the fact I wanted to use the money on a 2 week vacation. However due to work schedules their is no way to leave the state. So I''ll be able to upgrade I will be upgrading from a .67 diamond. The problem I am having is I don''t know if I want to up grade to a 1 carat or one around 1 1/2 carats? I am a very simple person normally just wear my wedding rings (very much the tom boy). I like both carat sizes and want something I can upgrade to that will last. I don''t want to go over 1 1/2 carats I have a 3 carat emerald art deco ring that dwarfs my finger (size 5.5). For those who have worked with Whiteflash how do you rate the over all performance of the company? If good ratings I would like to buy for them. Thank you all for you help.

I think you will find many, many wonderful testimonials here at PS regarding Whiteflash. I don''t know of anyone here that would steer you away from them but there are also many other vendors represented that would give you equally good service. I would suggest you call some of them and chat. They are very knowledgeable and friendly but it always helps to shop around. In that way, you can find the vendor that you are most comfortable with and THEN begin your search for a diamond.

In terms of size, only you can be the judge of that. Try going to a local jewelry store and try on several sizes. You will find what works best for your finger and hand. Also, price comes into play at some point - and again, only you know what amount of money you are comfortable spending.

If you find stones that you are interested in, by all means feel free to post them here for comments. This forum represents a very kind hearted, knowledgeable group of folks that is always eager to help.

Good luck - let us know how you make out!

ummm...can we see that 3 ct EC art deco ring please???? ***on my knees begging***

I would go for the 1.5 carat....I upgraded from 1/3 carat to 1.15 carats & wish my center stone was a little bigger (my ring size is 6.5).....you could also go with a more substantial setting if you preferred to, with a larger stone.

angel, you might as well go for the 1.5.

Hee hee. I''m biased, I have a 1.5 RB which I love, and have thought about upgrading. However, I''ve only had it for 2 and a half years, and I just can''t see the sense in "scraping" the money together now instead of 10 years from now to upgrade my diamond. My finger size is also 6.75, and I am 5''10", which is my rationale as to why I have a 1.5 in the first place (to friends of mine who have smaller stones and make comments about the size of mine.) It''s definitely true, though, that your stature has a lot to do with whether a diamond will be flattering on your hand. Maybe you should try wearing a 1 carat CZ and a 1.5 carat CZ around for a week or so and see which you like best. It''s hard to judge sizes in a jewelry store with all the pressure and heat from the lights!!!

Tacori I will post the pick this after noon.

Monarch64 I am only 5''5 120 pounds quite petite, and I wore a 2ct cz that''s why I know I don''t what to go larger than 1.50. If I upgrade to a 1.5 I hope to not upgrade again. I have also decide on a Vatache x prong mount.

We will see what happenes.

I recently got my 1.51 carat Expert Selection from WhiteFlash - it''s awesome and Denise was great to work with!!! I bought from WhiteFlash partially because of their awesome upgrade policy.

Anyway, my ring size is 5.25, and I think the 1.5 carat solitaire looks pretty big. It looks less huge when paired with other diamonds/stones. So the setting thing is definitely a consideration.

Happy shopping!

1.5...hands down! That''s not too big for comfort and then you wouldn''t have to upgrade! Go for the gusto if you''re able!

1.5 carat is fabulous! Go for it, you won''t regret it.

Well after much decision I decided for the 1.5 carat. I loved the 1 carat however 1.5 gives me growth room. Should be getting it soon just has to be mounted. Yeah!!!!

Great!
