Questions about working with Steven Kirsch

Hi All,
I am in the process of creating a three stone trellis ring. After scouring the PS forums, I fell in love with Steven Kirsch’s graceful trellis settings and decided that I wanted him to create my ring. I have my stones already and have emailed SK. I have asked him the same questions multiple times and am not getting answers. Can someone who has worked with SK give me an idea of what to expect - communication wise? Thank you!

Do you mean that he’s not replying to your emails or that he’s not at answering the questions you’re asking. Have you tried to phone call?

I don’t think there’s any rules, but if you want to get answers to what your questions are then that might be the way to do it since email isn’t working. What were you asking him that he wasn’t telling you?

I’ve asked what the overall timeframe will be and if my stones will be insured while in his care.

Have you worked with SK directly? Does he send CAD drawings? I’ve only ever worked with David Klass, and he sent CADs before I even shipped my stones.

No I haven’t worked with him. But I’m an old timer around here so I’ve seen a lot of things. I’m pretty sure he does not do CAD drawings. He’s probably not going to want you to be evaluating the micro details of what he’s doing. He’s not going to be set to a particular timeframe. I would bet that your stones will not be insured because he is a small cottage industry. I think a phone call is probably the easiest way to move forward.
