Due to the large price difference I would say the first one personally, but bare in mind I'm only a novice here so wait for others opinions :). Most seem to regard AGS/GIA as about the same from what I can gather. Seems you're paying £400 for G>F if you go for the 2nd, and GIA cert, which against any other cert but AGS I would have said that was worthwhile.

Thanks a lot Just_starting :)

Stone 2 is better than stone 1. Stone 2 is PS flavor. I'm not sure about stone 1.

Can you pls explain to me why?
I cant see much difference in Idealscope images with my lack of knowlegdge.

Stone 1 has a large table and shallow depth. But its ideal scope is all red. So I assume the crown angle works with a more shallow depth.

Eta: put them both on hold and ask them to take a look at both stones for you. Tell them you want to know if there is a difference in light performance of both. What flavor does each exhibit? Example, more white light or more fire etc?

Yes without the images, i was more going for stone 2. as it has HCA 1.5
the other one i wasnt so sure
bt cant see any differance in the image. This stone is for Pendant. both under my budget. Any help will be greatly appreciated

I only have few more hours to make a decision as its been hold for more then 10 days
this is the gemologist's email regarding the three stone, one which i already filtered
Hello Dee,

Thank you for your patience while waiting for the gemologist inspection and idealscope images of diamonds 288596, 282062, and 73862. You'll find the requested images attached to this email for your review. They haven't been able to provide me with an image of all three diamonds, but I wanted to go head and send you this much since I've had their feedback since yesterday. I'll keep you posted on if they can capture an image of the diamonds side by side.

I'm happy to inform you that all three diamonds are very bright and have excellent fire, brilliance, and scintillation! In fact, if you were viewing them side by side, you'd find them to be equally bright. When you view the idealscope images, you'll see that all three of them are loaded with red coloration. As expected, each of them is also beautifully eye clean and white in color. Diamond 73862 faces the largest, while diamonds 288596 and 282062 face slightly smaller and are identical in size.

Since the size of the diamond is important to you, you just may want to move forward with diamond 73862 since it's the largest. Otherwise, you can't make a wrong decision since they are virtually identical. I'm confident you'll be happy with whichever diamond you decide to go with.

Please take a moment to review this information and let me know if you have any additional questions. I have extended your hold on these diamonds for an additional 24 hours while you consider your options. If I don't hear back from you, I'll reach out to you within 24 hours to see if you need any assistance in finalizing a purchase. After that time we will release them back to our inventory.

To finalize a purchase, simply call our Customer Service department at 877-826-9866. We are staffed to assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any additional questions. I hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards,

I assume stone 1 is the largest since it's the shallowest.

I just look at the links and realise that the depth and table of stone 1 is mixed up. In this case, stone 1 is excellent.

Eta: you might want to edit the table and depth in your opening post as some posters might not click on the links to the diamonds.

Thanks a lot for your time and input.

Both ceritficate for more details

You are wasting a ton of money on IF clarity. You don't need that. At all. You can easily get away with VS1. I have a VS1 and I can't find my inclusions with a loupe. And HONESTLY in a round brilliant you can very safely go down to eyeclean VS2.

I wouldn't buy either of those. They are both a waste of funds.

Gypsy's right about the clarity. But if you prefer IF for either cultural or "mind clean" reasons, I'd choose stone #1 since it's certified AGS0 ideal and the slightly larger spread is always nice.

As an AGS0 ideal, it's already been measured to have ideal light return, so it removes any uncertainty about that. And the G color is going to be gorgeous in your pendant.
