radiant stone in princess setting?

Hi folks! I''m pretty new to learning about rings and settings, so this might seem like a silly question...but here goes...
I am looking at ordering a ring setting that is listed as being used for princess stones. I was told this setting could be used for radiant stones as well - my question is, since radiants are kind of cut off on the corners where the prongs hold on to the stone, will the stone be any less secure? Will the prongs still do a good job at holding onto the stone?

Kind of silly I guess...just wanted to check on this.

it would depend on the prongs. most anything should work, except for v-prongs or the like. any other prongs should be fine.
