Ragdoll "parents" -- this thread''s for you! Brag and post photos here!

OH AG! Ollie is sooooooooooooo handsome!!!
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
And he looks so... grown up! OH MY!!!

I love how angular his face is becoming... he looks so REGAL! And those EYES, what a beautiful shade of blue! And of course, there is -- The Tail!!! I love that one picture of him on the chair, and The Tail almost touches the floor!!! AMAZING!!! And those glorious tufty feeties!!!! Oh, I can only HOPE that Boo''s get THAT tufty one day!!!

And yes, his body color is much darker... but Boo is darkening DAILY, I swear! Maybe some of the color difference is because Ollie is mitted and Boo isn''t? I wonder if that makes a difference. ???

Well, he is gorgeous and handsome and oh so debonair!
30.gif
I LOVE every picture, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
36.gif
36.gif
36.gif
I wish we could get them together for a play date!!! Wouldn''t that be a blast!

And BTW, how much is Master Oliver weighing these days?!!!

Awww Lynn...you are such a sweetie
9.gif
I''m so glad you enjoyed the pics
36.gif

I definitely think it would be a blast to get them together for a play date. Although Ollie has been a very nervous little guy lately - I think its just a phase. He''s super-sweet when its just me and DH, but he''s been really unsure about visitors lately. On the upside though, he''s snugglier than ever with us - he and our orange tabby have taken to pinning me down between them in bed at night.

I''m not sure about the coloring - I still can''t figure out if Ollie is bicolor or mitted (or both?). He does have the stripe that runs from the bottom of his blaze on his face all the way down his tummy. But I think the bicolors are supposed to have more white on their bodies, like Mr. Boo, the handsome devil

AG, he is definitely seal bi-color mitted... the inverted V on his face and the pink nose are the "bicolor" trademark, and his mittens are undeniable!

30.gif
30.gif
True, his body coloring does seem darker than most bicolors, (and he''s still growing and changing!) -- but that''s just a wonderful and unique Ollie-ism, methinks!!!

Boo is just seal bi-color, no mittens!

He looks so small in some of these pictures, but I promise he''s not even remotely small...except his head, which still hasn''t caught up with the rest of him...

Hahaha, I just had to chime in that we say the same thing about Teddy''s head. It seems to have stopped growing and now his body is too big. I''ll have to switch over to the laptop and see if there are any recent pics I can post.

Okay here is a recent one. Notice the disproportionate head on that body?

DSC_0067_.jpg

One of his favorite napping places. I have dual sinks in my bathroom and he is smart enough to use the spare one.

DSC_0073.jpg

Had to throw in this one from SMTR...ever so curious, he jumped up on the table as I was taking pics of my ering.

IMG_2228.jpg

Oh teetee...sigh...Teddy is SO GORGEOUS
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif

Thank you thank you thank you for sharing new pics of him - he is just glorious. I see what you mean about the smaller head too. I think because Teddy is *for sure* a purebred Ragdoll, I can see some more characteristic traits in his head though - the small ears and the more rounded face, which its still hard to tell how Ollie''s ears and face are going to look if he''s ever done growing
3.gif

How old is Teddy now?

I love the sink picture - our two girl cats used to have a thing for sinks, big time, but not recently. I think by the time Ollie figured out what a sink was, he was far too large to fit in one haha
20.gif

Lynn - thanks for clearing that up. I am puzzled by the darker body color, but last time I was at the vet they agreed that he was definitely a seal point. I''ve seen seal points with darker body colors, but the vast majority seem to have the lighter body color. I could have sworn I saw a faint trace of mittens in a couple of Boo''s pictures. No? I''m sure you''d know better than I would...
31.gif

This has been a fun thread to read!thanks for all the pictures of your beautiful cats!

Actually, AG, seal points can get a VERY dark body color! So beautiful! And if you look again at the pics of Boo in this thread (page 3, I think, has some good ones to show this) -- he doesn't have "mittens" although he does kinda have one "boot" on his right front leg only. (That's what his breeder called it anyway... basically I think it's just a random marking!

)

And OH! TeeTee, Teddy is soooooo beautiful!!!
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
And I *think* Boo's head maaaaaaaaaaaaay seem just a little small for his body, too
23.gif
although if anyone ever (IRL) EVER even INKLED such an accusation, I'd hotly deny it!!!

I don''t post often (lurker) but I just saw this thread and given that we just adopted 2 Seal Mitted Ragdolls last Saturday, I had to share. Tiskers and Mittens (they just turned 3 months)

Tiskers

Another of Tiskers

Copy of IMG_8836.JPG

Oops the first pic of Tiskers is at 9 weeks, and the 2nd was at 12 weeks.

Below is Mittens

IMG_8974.JPG

Look at all that silky soft fur and coal black button nose. I just want to bury my face in their tummies.

And the last of Mittens :)

IMG_8935.JPG

And my boys might look like this guy. His name is Snowmitts and he''s my friend''s raggie (my boys and Snowmitts have the same parents, just a few litters appart)

Miss you Auntie & Unkie!.JPG

All your kitties are gorgeous!

I know nothing about the breed, except that when we got our cat, Murray, the papers said he was 7/8 rag doll and 1/8 domestic shorthair...

I''ll show you some pics, and you can decide!!

Being a bendy cat:

Lazy.jpg

Dozing (much older - about 10 months or so and really caramel in colour!!)

Snoozing.jpg

King Muz - he is so regal and so arrogant, but he is such a precious thing!

OH! More photos and more precious Raggies!!!

36.gif

Oh Snooper, your boys are gorgeous!
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
Sooooo precious! And not one Raggie, but TWO!!! How lucky can a girl GET?!! Be sure to keep us updated by posting pictures regularly, we love to watch 'em grow!!! (BTW, LOVE the vest!!!!
9.gif
Whatta good sport he is!!!)

And Sassee, your boy is a handsome fellow, indeed, as well!
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
And he sure does seem to have the Ragdoll Flop down pat!
1.gif
Silly, silly boy! But honestly... I really don't think he's a Raggie. Raggies are a pointed breed (darker ears, tail, etc.) and never colored (tiger striped) like that, and they always have blue eyes. Maybe he's part Ragamuffin, though, which is a wonderful related breed, and I believe they can come in all colors/patterns and eye colors. OR, I was thinking he actually looks a lot like a Maine Coon to me, which is such an awesome breed, too, with very similar personalities to Ragdolls. Is he very large?!

Well, thanks to both of you for sharing -- and please, keep those photos coming!!! We are KITTY KRAZEE around these parts!!!
1.gif

^^^

Thanks for the "assessment" Lynn B !!

We honestly don''t know what to make of him. We are in Australia, so a lot of those breeds, I have never heard of - will have to start researching on the net!
34.gif

Is he big? Er, yes!! He is a very big boy! And my fiance (having had many cats over the years, and me, never) tells me that because he is only a year old, he still hasn''t reached full maturity, and will probably grow even more!!

He has this habit of sleeping on my head/pillow - he is such a mummy''s boy!

Oh well, I better not continue to post pics here, now that you''ve established that he''s not a Ragdoll!!!

Sassee - you can post pictures wherever you want, as long as you keep posting pictures of that gorgeous creature
31.gif
30.gif
Thank you so much for sharing. I agree that he is unlikely to have a lot of Raggie in him, but cat color genetics are odd, and so you never know. He sounds like such a love though, and we ADORE all kitty pictures here
30.gif
Besides, my Oliver is really only an honorary or wannabe Ragdoll - I don''t know if you read through the whole thread, but he is a rescue, and was rescued rescued the shelter as a one week old orphan, so his parentage is completely unknown. I can''t speak for anyone else, but I''m glad you shared the pics of your beautiful little fur-man, and I''d love to see more!

Snooper - your babies are TOO PRECIOUS
30.gif
30.gif
30.gif
OMG I just want to snuggle them and smoosh them and bury my face in their precious little kitten tummies
36.gif
Thank you so much for sharing pictures, and I second Lynn - please keep posting pics as they grow up, its such a fascinating process to watch. I think Tiskers looks a lot like my Ollie in that second picture - I think Tiskers and Lynn''s Boo and my Ollie are all secretly related
3.gif
31.gif
That picture of Mr. Snowmitts is TDF - what a handsome guy!! You must be so excited to know your babies will probably grow up to look like that heartthrob

Oh Sassee! PLEASE don't feel like you have to stop posting pics here!!!

What a loss that would be to this wonderful thread!

We have 100% Ragdolls here, part-Ragdolls, some sorta-maybe-probably-Ragdolls, and some not-really-Ragdolls-at-all
2.gif
1.gif
9.gif
and we love them ALL!!! I think we said this earlier in the thread, but if not... pedigree, schmedigree, who cares?! It's the KITTIES we are KRAZEE about here!

Now, more pictures, please!

Oh my goodness. AmberGretchen, teetee, Snoopers... All of your cats are so incredibly adorable, beautiful and sweet! I don''t know where to begin. Seeing all the raggy pictures made me smile. I never realized how popular this breed is.

Snoopers... Snowmitts (your friend''s kitty) looks EXACTLY like my ''lil boy. Wow, they could be brothers they look so similar!

What a nice surprise to come here and see so many new kitty pics today!

AG - Teddy is over 15 months now so he''s got some more growing to do. I also heard they can take up to 2-4 years to fully mature. Sometimes I forget that he''s a not normal sized kitty so when I see other kitties, I think that they look so small.
5.gif

Lynn - you always crack me up...love your energy.

Snooper - awwh, I loved your kitten shots...they always seem to grow up so fast. Your babies are definitely mitted. How did you manage to get Mittens to wear that shirt? I always meant to train Teddy when he was a baby to tolerate stuff like that but never got around to it. But we managed to train him to do his "job" well...which is letting us cuddle him for a long time without complaint.
31.gif

Sassee - your Murray is beautiful. I''m agreeing with AG and Lynn that he''s probably not raggie because of his tabby pattern and non-blue eyes. His last photo made me think he has Maine Coon in him, especially since he is so big already. Nevertheless, he is just as handsome as any others here. Ditto AG & Lynn regarding the photos...show us more.
1.gif

Thanks, KittenKat....btw with a name like that, you can''t just show up without photos
38.gif

Snooper, I just made my hubby look at the picture of Snowmitts - and he also thinks Snowmitts looks identical to our kitty, Bear. (his photo is on page 6)

It''s insane how similar Bear looked to your friend''s cat at the same age.

Did you and your friend get your kitties in California, by chance?

Oh, I remember your Bear now

. You must have changed your avatar or something. Do you have new pics?

Funny thing is we also call Teddy "Bear" as a nickname...actually it''s his middle name...I know, very original of us. But it suits him well!

Hello ladies!

I''ve been slowly reading this entire thread! What cute cats you all have!!!

TeeTee, LOL the shirt wasn''t as easy as it looks. They kept flopping to the side when I dressed them. Also because the shirt is so big (build a bear), they kept walking out of it! It was hilarious!

kittenkat, WOW your cat does look like my friends!! We''re not in CA though (No. VA), I just love the seal cats as their color is just so neat. Handsome cats everyone!!!

Sassee, I too thought your cat looked like a Main Coon. I hear those are very similar to the Raggies, but they don''t flop. All that furr to pet!!!

Lynn B When I lurked previously, I remember seeing your cat and thinking what a CUTIE!!!

I''m going to attach a few more pics of my friends'' raggies. She has 5 (they''re like potato chips, can''t have just one!) The cat below is a Blue BiColor and recently was diagnosed with sever Cardiomyopathy (HCM heart disease). It''s so sad
