It’s a guy on Instagram and Etsy called opalus tomalyes (or similar spelling - can’t check at the mo). He has some lovely opals.Omg I have a little boy who would love love love that.
Can you advise where you got it or where I can find interesting specimens like that?
I've bought an opal for his Christmas stocking but yours is just so cool!!!
That's a fairy egg! That's a fairy egg!
I loved fairy stories when I was little. I would've gone crazy over that.
Who am I kidding? I still would.
Yes, a pendant is just the thing.
I think if I mount it I’ll make a bezel for it. I don’t like it when pendants spin when drilled. This has a flat back so it wouldn’t look nice drilled.Wow, that’s gorgeous and so unusual.
I would definitely mount that as a pendant. The best way I think would be drilling in a hole (like they do with pearls) and then gluing in a stalk for a bale.
Being a Brit I don’t understand the reference but California can keep their hands off it
If does doesn’t it? I hadn’t realised that until you said it!Gorgeous! It kinda looks like an ammolite.

It’s shaped like California. I guess I’m the only one that saw it, lol!
