Some of you know that our cat, Carly, had a sprained shoulder and was diagnosed with arthritis recently. The vet prescribed Dasuquin for the arthritis. Those of you with cats know what a pain it is to give a cat a pill, can’t put it in her food so I’ve been prying the mouth open and throwing it in there.

A couple of days ago she was on my son’s bed and it was pill time. This time I held it in front of her and she sniffed it so I said “you know, you could just eat it”.

And she ate it! I was astounded lol! So now she just eats it without a fight. Great!

Wow !

I told my son to make his bed. Apparently the instructions should read:

Please remove cat, then make your bed.

it was a big weekly game - a slightly dangerous one but loads of fun for us both

So these little batty-eared cuties arrived at our house tonight. Their ‘fancy names’ are Nomices Darth Vader and Nomices Princess Leia but we’ll give them every day names once we get to know them a bit better.
They’re Orientals - Ebony and Blue. We’ve not introduced them to the pugs yet but so far, they have completely captivated us!

So these little batty-eared cuties arrived at our house tonight. Their ‘fancy names’ are Nomices Darth Vader and Nomices Princess Leia but we’ll give them every day names once we get to know them a bit better.
They’re Orientals - Ebony and Blue. We’ve not introduced them to the pugs yet but so far, they have completely captivated us!

I’m back with more pictures! And they have names. The black boy is Otto and the blue girl is Mignonette. We had a lot of pug angst initially (mostly due to feeling left out) but have had some great breakthroughs in the last couple of days with actual cuddling this evening. Still keeping them separate while we’re not actively supervising the interactions and my husband needs to build the cat super highway in the kitchen so they can get up away from the pugs but we’re really pleased with the progress so far.

I’m my dream last night Fiona showed up, she doesn’t usually appear in my dreams. When I woke up I realized today is the 10th, we said goodbye three years ago today as she passed over the rainbow bridge.

I know not everyone believes in any significance to what we dream about but I don’t believe it was a coincidence. Anyways just had to share with someone and figured the pet thread was a good place.

There was a reason you dreamt about Fiona @YadaYadaYada, I like to think she wanted you to know she’s ok and not to be sad today, but remember her in happier times.

It's always bittersweet when we dream of our dear departed fur babies.
It's like having them back again just for a brief moment.

Mommy the wild tom cat is missing
I havn't seen him in over a week
I call and call and call and leave food out
Its been so cold and wet but it had been quite warm last week so maybe the ladies in the cat colony a way up the next street were sending out booty calls
Ive been trying to get him freindly with the hope of getting him in a cage and then to the vet but it was slow progress
He didn't look like a homeless stray any more
I am worried about him and i miss him

Mommy the unfriendly but loved tom cat is home !
He lives behind the garden shed
I went down there to leave his breakfast under the grape vine and there he was
Its been just over a week
He looks good
No hugs and kisses for me
How can i get him freindly so we can get him to the vet ?

I feel bad, i had something special in the fridge for him (human left overs) but it was getting a bit old so i put it out last night for who ever - (we leave cat biscuits out for the hedgehogs but other cats cruising past do help themselves)

we might be about to have a situation on the clean washing pile
this is usually Fluffa Duffa's chair but Borris saw it vacant and did a bit of one upmanship
Fluffa Duffa is always a few inches behind Borris' shadow so she hardly hesitated to join her
So far all is ok as Borris has gone back to sleep

Dear Tibby had made the clothes horse into a day bed one day when i was drying something flat
After his passing i just couldn't bring myself to dismantle it but we got so much rain a couple of months back and i dont like to use the dryer excessively so i started using it again

Omg I have an oriental too! She’s lavender. The ears get me! Her name is Cricket and she’s my “soul cat”
