A friend of mine inspired me to make these recently, and boy were they a hit! Homemade frosty paws (basically doggie ice cream). So easy to make, cheaper and healthier than most snacks that I buy for my fur babies, and occupy them for a good amount of time after dinner.

One large container of greek yogurt (plain, nonfat) 3-4 large bananas, and two heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter. Pureed and poured into small tupperware containers and then frozen for an after dinner homemade doggie dessert. I've been giving them instead of rawhides and my dogs are in heaven!!!

Oh the cuteness of cuddling doggies - what type of dogs are they? The dark one has an unusual look about him/her

The black/grey is a 2nd generation maltipoo only 6lbs named Zhuli, and CoCo is the white/tan Brittany Spaniel Mini Poodle mix at 23lbs.
Zhuli is almost cat like in some ways, she loves to curl up in a ball and snuggle anywhere and everywhere you are. I've never had dogs until these two, and sure love them to death, couldn't imagine what I'll do without them. These are actually my 2 girls' babies, but they know I'm the momma:kiss2: because well lets face it... a teenager and an 11 yr kid don't exactly take care of them like moms do;))

I'm totally going to make this for Noah, but will have to find a substitute for banana, he loves most fruit except for bananas and citrus fruits! He loves yogurt, and usually helps finish my daily breakfast of greek yogurt with fruit!

I attend a church which is also known as the "Dog Church" because there is lots of outdoor space where the service is broadcasted on TV screens outdoors, and lots of people sit outside with their dogs. Here is a picture of Noah taken yesterday, you can see how he totally enjoys church because of the big smile!Noah-church.jpg

Some people recommend puréed pumpkin instead of banana - I was going to try that next! My brothers dog hates banana also - I think it’s the texture :P2

I wish we had a church like this - I might actually go!

Thanks! I'll definitely try pumpkin instead of banana. I know he likes pumpkin because it is in his dog food.

Have you ever seen anything cuter? This is my (favorite...don’t tell) nephew Nick and my dog Brodie. Best friends forever. The minute nick gets here at “Aunt Violets Summer Camp,” Brodie abandons us immediately. In the Second pic, Nick is tickling Brodie while they watch Dumbo together

Updated pictures of the little fosters.

I have one new little. He was found as a single in a wheel well. His finder named him Spider. I changed it. He's a black cat. Strike one for many adopters unfortunately. And spiders? Eek. I kept the spirit of the name. Ben Reilly. Spider Man's clone. He has blue eyes. He may keep them at his age. IMG_20190724_120703809.jpg

I wish I could take Ben Reilly! I cannot have a cat, because my husband is allergic. Do people not want to adopt black cats? Is that because they're bad luck if they cross your path or something? I think they are SUPER pretty/handsome

I hear that black/dark dogs are also the last to be adopted, which has always made no sense to me. Thank you for your service to these beautiful babies!

@violet3 It's true, sadly. It's silly superstition and they don't think that they are pretty/attractive, because there are no markings you can see or they assume they are mean. I have three kittens left from a litter that are a bit older, at about 9.5 weeks now. Two are solid black girls and one is a tuxedo. They are all so sweet, loving and really love to be held and cuddled- they start purring as soon as you touch them. They have been passed over at multiple adoption events and the kitties that go first are usually the orange ones. Solid black is the last to go. I have the three booked into an adoption center for a week starting 7/30 where they stay there, so I am hoping that maybe their humans will find them. If not, they will come back to me and be with us as long as it takes to find their homes.

I just came across this photo that DH took of me and my sweet kitty Phrix. The dress had a long tulle train which I was holding off the floor.
We lost Phrix last year to kidney failure.
I miss him so much!

Beauties!:wavey:

Not my fur-baby; he belongs to my neighbor, but he hangs out here enough that he seems to think we are his people. He is as sweet as can be ... jumped up on my bench while I was sitting on it and just rubbed & curled up next to me. He’s such a handsome fella, and has quite a unique, exotic-looking face with the wider nose than I usually see on this breed.

That photo is exquisite, stracci. It looks like a Degas with a cat! I am very sorry you lost Phrix.

Hugs,

These are simply wonderful, violet!

Thanks ladies! They are the best of buddies. I keep telling my sister, just to give Nick to us, so they can be together forever, but she keeps saying no....:lol-2::P2:lol: (and I'm certainly not giving them my dog - he's the best one!)

This really is a stunning photo!

I'm so sorry for your loss. So many wonderful kitties lost to kidney disease.

He's a beauty! I'm not very familiar with kitty breeds - what type is he?

His face is a little wide. He might have a bit of Bengal in him if he has spots on his belly. He looks larger as well. His coat is just a marbled Tabby though. Plain old domestic shorthairs and medium hairs actually have this pattern too. It comes in a couple colors. But the marbling is always pretty.
