Re-cut or not?

Hello, I think this diamond is very shallow. People say it’s a beautiful ring but I really don’t like the cut!

These are the specific I know about it:

H
VS2

I don’t know nothing about the cut. Do you think I can re-cut it?
I don’t care to lose some weight of it.

Sorry for my English, I write from Italy and I think this forum is the best one to talk about diamonds.

when I look at it in front of a natural light but actually the thing that I really don’t like is when I look at it from the side because the crow is too shallow.

from the top is a nice diamond, shines and it’s white with less fire.

Do you think it’s a ugly diamond?
Should I rec-cut it?

no, you said its a nice diamond its a nice diamond.
probably not a good recut candidate if it is indeed shallow.
I dont have any resources in Italy to recommend to help you.

When a diamond is too shallow is better don’t re-cut?

I have only those measurements:
7,65 - 7,70 x 4,03 mm

I would leave it as it is. It is an interesting cut which makes your stone unique.

I think its very pretty and would not recut. I dont think recutting is a good option for it anyway. You will lose a lot of weight/size
to make the crown higher.

I agree with the other posters. Not to recut. But you wrote you don’t like it. Can you return/exchange/trade it in?

I like it but not much compeer to a ideal cut diamond.
I can’t do anything, is a present from 1 year ago.

If it bugs you, you don’t have other options to get a more sparkly diamond, and you don’t care about losing weight I would recut. I just know I would be annoyed to keep looking at something I didn’t like. That’s just me of course.

Your ring design is very classic. You can't really go wrong with that. Otherwise it depends on what you like. Maybe a three-stone design?

I was thinking to change setting maybe something different will be more appropriate for the type of stone.
