Ladies and gentlemen,

I am tre new to all this so please bear with me. My g/f, we have been dating 6 months, and I usually spend the weekend together doing things. She has invited me over to her house where she wants to fix me a lasagna dinner complete with dessert. Is this a good thing?

Thanks, She knows what I am thinking as I have recently been asking questions about gemstones, preferred metal, etc.

Thanks again,

Joseph

Depends. Do you like lasagna?

And more importantly, do you like your gf?

I can''t see how inviting your bf over for homemade eats and dessert is a bad thing.

It is Valentines Day this weekend. Is she big on that "holiday"?

I don''t really see how it could be a bad thing ... unless you''re lactose intolerant or something.

Sounds better than a sharp stick in the eye!

Congratulations. She wants to cook something nice for you.

From what you have said, I don''t see what can be bad about this. (feel free to share more details if I''m missing something)

If it is for Valentine''s Day, you might consider surprising her with a single long stem red rose and a bottle of wine. (since she is cooking dessert, chocolates may be a bit much)

Are you sure she hasnt'' invited you over for Engagement Chicken?

No woman would turn down chocolate. No real woman anyway...

And no polite hostess would fail to open the box and sample some.

Good point. Single rose + wine + chocolate = nearly perfect

+ ring (if you feel ready) = PERFECT

My vote is that it''s just regular a regular dinner. But if you want to propose at the same time, go for it!

I pretty much agree with everyone else. When my husband and I were dating (before we lived together), I would invite him over and go all-out on special meals for birthdays, our anniversary, etc. I mainly did it just because I like him, there was never an ulterior motive behind it. But since the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, I did eventually get what I wanted...

ETA: I still make special meals now that we live together...just don't have to specially invite him over anymore, hehe!

I''m going to go with she is trying to do something nice for you for v-day. Remember you should bring her something- fine not an ering but how about some flowers?

Has she cooked for you before?
Or is this a first?

What''s for dessert? Make sure you bring Flowers!!!!

Are you nervous that her cooking will be bad?

Generally when people offer to cook for me, I take it as a good thing.

I did too, until the first time FI cooked for me!

The place was awfully smokey, and it''s hard to swallow when you''re trying not to giggle and gag all at once

OK... the weekend is over.

How was the lasagna?

Where''d he go? My advice was awesome!

Doesn''t he know the two Pricescope rules?

1) Updates are required.
2) If unable to write an update, pictures will suffice.
