man all these pretty invitations make me want to order some just because!!! and my wedding is OVER!! haha..

Same, only, um, I just did. Fortunately for my bank account, I only ordered samples. I fell in love with the White Aisle invitations pre-engagement, and then later decided I wanted engraving instead. But then I saw them again just now and my heart started beating a little faster, and I decided that I just have to give them a chance. I''ll see how I like them in person. If I go with them, though, I''m going to have the hardest time narrowing it down to one invitation. (FH just eliminated a bunch, which I guess makes the decision easier.)

BTW, I''m planning on a "luncheon to follow" line.

for the script i LOVE LOVE LOVE #2's script typeface. it's not overly used. it's a very nice weight and readable.

(i like bickham, but i don't like the big ups of the caps and the little downs of the lowercase letters. Too much of a difference. I always go in and make the caps smaller than the default is- that's hard to do with someone else in control.

i'll need to digest the block text choices and get back with you.

Okay I can't figure out which one that is. #2's .. but I think the other one you liked, Bikham, is really nice. The small big thing isn't bothering me... of course, what the heck do I know!

Good thing your picking them... 'cause I would do something like Fine Hand or Lainie Day.

the fancy scripts intimidate me. LOL.

ETA: Blenheim which ones did he eliminate?

ROTFLMAO!!!

Take this with a grain of salt, but he eliminated Venice (which I love), Chrysanthemum (for the spacing, although I like it and I''m sure that they could space it "normally"), Peony (flower is "too big"), Port Antonio/Flight/Vine (not too keen on the birds), Coconut Grove (doesn''t like the distinct separation between text and flowers), and Vintage (for some unknown reason). We also decided against any square ones (extra postage issues), ones that only came in pink or aqua, and ones that just didn''t fit the wedding (Kyoto, Dragon, Miami).

That being said, I obviously don''t agree with his choice of eliminations (Venice is one of my favorites), but there were a lot that we both liked so I wasn''t going to argue.

I might join you in asking for font advice a bit later.

Deco - LOL.

My current total is $27.25 for five samples... I once tried, very hard, to buy a bathing suit from J Crew after a bathing suit thread, but they kept sending me a regular torso and I needed a long torso, and after explaining this FOUR TIMES to people on the phone and in the store I just gave up.

Oh yeah! In order of preference. What do you think? These are much less stuffy!! And the prices are great.

I love these...I''m into that casual yet chic look, too. my wedding is during the day. I liked the 3rd invitation (before I got to these).

I''m looking at invites from www.eweddings.com .(pretty affordable) The one I sampled automatically came with an invite, blank card to do as I please and response card(100=$134). On the blank card, I''ll be putting reception to follow and then at the bottom our website. Before this, I was just going to tag the reception to follow line on the main invite...why spend more $$$.

oops forgot to vote. the 3rd one(green and brown combo)
BTW, where are these from?

me too, i simply loooove white aisle. Unfortunately, I have to resist the urge to buy them (outta my budget) but for those that do...yummy!

man, i''m slow...it pays to read all the way to the end before offering opinions.

here is a link to all the white aisle fonts -- there are a lot!! we used a block font for all the information and then a script for our names.

also, i liked that they threw in probably 10% extra envelopes for all of those mistakes.

and i just spied that their homepage read "Letterpress coming fall 2006" - i think they can do custom designs.

www.weddingpaperdivas.com is where those are from-- decodelighted got her's from there. I liked hers the best-- but they were too casual for my wedding, unfortunately.

These are nice and a great deal... everything else I've seen that looks like this costs mega bucks. Good link budget!
