Red Burmese Spinel ring

I bought this 2.51ct untreated Burmese spinel from (I believe) a fellow PSer. I love the red and cushion shape!

Had it recently set into an older setting. Honestly, the setter doesn't seem too skilled... the prongs are huge tabs that I didn't ask for and uneven. But I settled cuz I couldn't wait any longer to start wearing this stone!

Also settled for pics after sundown

THat's a gorgeous spinel!! Looks beautiful, bright, well saturated, and open! Awesome stone. Respectfully, I don't love the prongs, but it looks like they could be filed down easily into a nicer shape

It's fabulous! The color is delicious!!
You said it was an older setting, so the prongs are fine. You can have them touched up later.
I actually prefer hefty and secure prongs.
