Red in Color Psychology

Red is one of my favorite colors. It's hard to ignore that blood, fruits, and flowers are red. Green and blue are ubiquitous

Red is a very vibrant colour, hence it is a colour often used for celebratory festivals/occasions in Asian cultures. Blue, on the other hand, is seen as calm and soothing. All the more reason to collect gems in the colours of the rainbow; one to suit your mood for each day.

I like the way you think, Chrono. ;)

That's probably why its used in so many political emblems and flags of state. It's a very noticable and "aggressive" color.

Blue and violets are more soothing, calming.
Haven't read the article yet but read quite a few when choosing colours for websites. One very interesting one said that while we see red and green as stoplights, red works better on websites to get people to click! And yes, lavenders in particular lulled and slowed - soothed - people, so they spent longer there.

Red is also seen from a further distance away, unlike cool colors.
