Refreshing Weekend

Do you ladies ever have one of those weekends with your SO that just makes you realize how much you do love them all over again?

We were driving around the area where we want to buy our first house after we marry, and found a little park and decided to pull over and play for a bit. We jumped on the swings for a while and just talked about our future and how excited we were to have one another. We talked about future kids, a future house and travelling together. It was really nice and relaxing.

Makes you step out of your "LIW" status for a second and realize that your boyfriend really does crave a future with you -- even if you''re not quite ready to get married yet.


Hopefully I can hang on to these thoughts and remember them when I''m drooling over other girls'' diamonds.

My SO does that sometimes. This weekend was especially nice. We went to a local festival on Saturday, and took his younger sister, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and let her have some fun. He went with me to the farmer''s market Saturday morning as well, and we enjoyed that. Yesterday he took me out on the boat, and we had fun just riding around enjoying the lake and spring. We saw eagles, and gators, and an otter. Last night I made salad and some muffins and we took some over to my dad and came home and he watched me run on the treadmill before bed. He was sweet all weekend, loving and affectionate. Times like that are my favorites
