I noticed while looking around Faycullen.com that they do not want to give refunds. Has anyone had any experiences where they needed one from an online jewelry store and got one easily, or had a hard time getting one. I''d like to hear your stories.
I have yet to buy any jewelry online and am sort of nervous about doing so.
I have however bought 1 pink spinel, sterling silver flatware, and depression glass without any problems.

When I bought from White Flash last spring, I previewed 2 diamonds before making my selection. Since I had them shipped to me, I had to pay for both in advance. After I picked the diamond I wanted, I shipped both back to White Flash. WF set the one I selected into a pendant for me and promptly refunded the purchase price of the second diamond. I've also used the White Flash upgrade policy. Again, the process was easy and went smooth as silk with no problems at all.

Thats nice to hear. I think paid previews are a good idea.

If I was doing the same thing today, I wouldn't have to pay in advance. There's a Price Scope Approved Appraiser in my area now. That wasn't the case a year ago. Now, I could have both diamonds shipped to the Appraiser and go look at them there.

Having both diamonds at home for several days was nice, tho. I got to spend time looking at both in every imaginable type of lighting. I involved family and friends in the selection process by having them pick which diamond they preferred. It was fun!

Note that apprasiers will charge you to see the stones. We had an PS vendor send a stone we loved in numbers to an approved PS Appraiser. We paid for the shipping and for we paid him for the 1.5 hrs. we spent there and in the end, we didn't get that stone. Not impressed by this particular apprasier, or how much he charged to tell us nothing new about the stone that the GIA didn't already say...

We just needed to see it and how it performed to our eyes...With shaped stones, you need to SEE them, so those little previews can start to add up after a while! So, that's just something to consider too.
