Rejected Ruby Laser Rods

Evening-

I''m hunting for ruby (most likely synthetic) that has been doped too much- to the point it fluoresces in light (looks like it glows). I''ve seen it once, was a told that it was cut from a rejected laser rod that had been over-doped.

The goal being a pendant that will attract the eye indoors; outdoors it''ll be too bright and under tungsten there probably isn''t enough UV to trigger the fluorescence.

I''ve been eyeing ThaiGems but (the ones I''ve recieved) don''t come close... and asking for a special run is probably out of the question
