Rhodolite garnet - my newest and first garnet purchase

With all of the jewelry selling I forgot to show off my new possession. I Had no idea garnets we’re so red. I thought they were mostly a maroon. Anyway, 3.5 ct of precision cut rhodolite goodness ( and a tiny diamond that will make its way into the final pendant). Looks better in person of course. So hard to photograph gems with an iPhone.

Yummy! Can’t wait to see the finished product. Rhodolite garnets are way less brown/maroon than the ones you commonly see in jewelry stores. And way prettier, to my eyes!

That’s actually the exact one I bought. I’m a terrible photographer in a dark NYC apartment. The photos on the website are more accurate for how it looks in daylight. I’ll try to update with better pics soon once the chain I got shows up
