Right hand ring ideas??

Hi friends! While I figure out what I’m going to do about my wedding ring (still no idea), I’ve decided to move forward with setting a family stone into a right hand ring. It’s a transitional round diamond around 2 carats, and I had been thinking about something like the CVB Astrid or possibly Andraste in an octagon shape. Thinking I’ll go with yellow gold for this one since my wedding ring will always be in platinum, and I’ll most likely wear it on my right pointer finger. Does anyone have any other fun ideas for a right hand style that I should consider?? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the feedback @GeorgieQ - the Astrid has been on my radar for quite some time and I truly love it from all angles! This stone isn’t the most amazing to be honest, so I’m hoping for a setting that will bring out its best!

Not sure if it would be prohibitively expensive, but what about a coloured stone halo (like a target ring)? You could do it in YG or two-tone and go for a circular or an octagonal shape. Something like the following:
