Hi to those who love design :-)

I posted once before asking for designs, thank you!!.

I made one, but it didn''t suit. It wasn''t dainty enough.

I set about making a dainty x prong model, but soon realised it was no go...

I was mas making a silver model to be injected in wax, to be cast in plat, but the design I was making should only be hand-made in plat. The setting was too intricate to be cast.

I stopped as yet I haven''t properly wet my customers tongue in designs, and was making a model I can''t re-use.

Can anybody help?

They don''t know what they want, hence I think they should go with a solitare. They have settled on a good 73pt diamond.

Mudst be dainty - keep it simple for they are the are the quintessential working class couple who want to go that extra mile. He deserves something good and will accept no less, though originality doesn''t seem to be the key.

Cheers.

Well, he is online now. We will have to go searching through the miriad links I have found on this site. Thank you.

I hate this, it is much easier to talk in person and guage their tastes and go ahead and make something...

Hi Platinumsmith

I know you said the diamond is a round and this picture is of a princess but the I find the simplicity of this design quite stunning.

This one shows the setting with different shaped stones. The shape of the bezel is interesting (and diffent and unusual for those of you in Oz who watch Kath and Kim).

I should''ve said where these pictures come from: http://www.henrich-denzel.de/index.htm. These rings are made in platinum.

German precison.

Gotta love that...

Probably too modern. I am sure they will also pick how easy those rings are to make - might be a consideration.

Thanks heaps though. I will still keep looking. It is a learning curb for me to look at everybodies designs and their web pages...

Cheers,

PS

Gotta love the way Germans do things. Those rings are really scuptural, aren't they. I've been hunting down European jewellery sites for some interesting designs. Asprey.com has some interesting solitaires but I can't copy the pictures. If you search using the French or Italian words for jewellery etc (joaillerie, gioiello, bijoux, bijouterie), you'll find some interesting sites. The European designs are sometimes over the top but it's interesting to look at the designs.
