someone HELP!!

Bella, I feel your pain!
Have you narrowed it down to RB then? Or are you still uncertain?
Also, do you have a budget in mind? I think that was the ultimate determining factor for me.

Have you done the Pricescope search and/or checked out some of the frequently used vendors?

Bella, welcome to pricescope! You may want to ask the moderator to move this topic to "RockyTalky," which is designed for diamond questions. You'll get a lot more responses over there.

Good luck in your search!

thanks guys i posted it in rocky talky and nobody responded yet!! our budget is no higher than 5000 ive searched but i feel as if im going in circles. is it safe to purchase online im just so nerveous that my BF is going to get ripped off!!!

Musey is the stone in ur picture an asshner?? ahh im so overwelmed i was supposed to go to another jewler today but i was too tired my heads spinning having dreams about color cut clarity hahah its nuts!! My BF couldn''t believe i passed up ring shopping today!

I don''t think you''re going to find an eye clean 1.25 ct rb for under $5000.

im willing to go 1.0-1.25 Si2 color f

Go up to 'Prices' and click on 'Search by Cut'. There are a handful of stones around the 1 ct mark with good HCA scores around E/F SI2. You won't get any bigger than that (1.02 or so). But they've all got black inclusions that you will likely be able to see with your bare eyes (which is why they are so inexpensive). If you don't mind having black marks in your stone, you can do it for about $4500 + the setting. Otherwise, dip below 1 ct and get yourself a nice eye clean diamond.

thanks

Bella, I was in a similar situation as you when we first started looking at engagement rings. I loved the look of princess diamonds and to me they felt a bit more modern, yet still timeless... but after seeing a round brilliant the sparkle was incredible, I HAD TO HAVE ON. So what I did was get a round brilliant set in 4 prongs. At times the 4 prongs give the look of the diamond being square at first glance, but it still has the sparkle of a round brilliant. I have had people even ask if it was a princess cut diamond (that is, until they get closer!). I love it and it gives me the best of both worlds!

Try a bunch of rings on and you will start to see a clear winner. Also bring the stones out into different lights (sun light, fluorscent, etc.), lighting also has a big effect... sometimes jewlery stores use lighting to make a diamond seem more brilliant.

Have you seen the new Princess of Hearts cut from GOG? Those are some sparkle monsters of stones!!! Cut cornered squares. Very beautiful. You should take a look. They even have movies of them next to rounds and other cuts so you can compare the sparkle in different lighting conditions.

Wow - I''m so glad you posted this link. I think I have a new love in my life! The Princess of Hearts is a beautiful stone, but I think the cut-cornered square radiant that they show near the end is heart-stopping! Yummy!
