I picked out my diamond and band separately. The diamond is a 1.02 carat round diamond, 4 prong cathedral setting. My band is sort of wide, but not too wide, and definitely not too skinny (too thin of a band looked funny on my hand.) I am just worried because we told the jeweler a middle setting. Too low wouldn't show how beautiful she is, and too high, welll...I tend to snag my rings on items quite a lot! Has anyone else had a middle setting on a cathedral setting band, and did you like the look? I am not sure if another area on the site would help me more, but I know a lot of you ladies know what your rings look like!

maybe Rocky Talky? but I think you should get the setting you want...I personally don't like the super high settings, so I think it sounds good!

Your reasoning makes sense - it sounds like you made a great choice. Has your SO seen the finished product?

If he did see the final product he isn't telling! haha..

I am sure it looks fine!

I'm not a high setting fan either. Something about it just scares the crap out of me.

I'm really excited to see your ring!

Thanks! Today he text me and said

Him: You having a bad day babe?
Me: No, not at all, why?
Him: You seem a little down today.
Me: No, just busy. I have been spackeling (sp?) the entire living room all afternoon!
Him: Oh Ok, You'll have a better day when I come home to you later.
Me: I am always happy when you come home!

I got a little excited inside, because it was odd of him to say, I thought maybe he would randomly propose, (high hopes! haha) then I remembered he was purchasing Rascal Flatts tickets for us today haha..
