Yay!! My boyfriend just recently went to the mall "for his dad" and while he was there he admitted to me that he looked at rings! This is the second time he has looked in a month! and his dad rarely goes to the mall/buys stuff from the mall so i doubt he went there just for his dad.
I always have to smile the news of him looking at rings when he does because he usually doesnt mention it to me when he ends up looking. I have to be like, so did you look at rings when you went today?' and he would tell me no and then he would smile and tell me that it is none of my business. cute very cute
He is trying to make it a surprise as he says. He knows what I want and is very good with the diamond talk and knows a lot about them so I trust him i just hate not knowing what it will look like and when he buys it. So the last time he went I suggested that he go look and he actually did but told me that he went to about 3 different stores and didnt really find anything that he liked. and this past time he said that he went to the same 3 stores and found some nice things. And I didnt even mention it to him to look this time, partially because he was being sneaky about it and never mentioned to me that he had to go into the mall... hmmm...He said it went better than last time.
He is just so darn picky and wants to get a really nice and big one and I really could care less. i just want it to be a ring and him asking me. Shouldnt I be the one who is picky?
Since our 4 year anniversary is coming up I mentioned to him that this year if he doesnt end up asking me by christmas that I found this really pretty ring that I want. Since I am getting him a gift for our anniversary I told him that it would be nice for him to get me something. He never has gotten me any jewelry before except my promise ring and i think it is now time to get me something atleast.
We usually dont give anniversary gifts either so i thought that now would be a good time to start. But as usual he rolled his eyes and nodded so maybe i will be getting THE RING on our anniversary instead of the one that i told him i want.
It is called an anniversary band. it is part of that whole past, present, future collection thing. It has about 10 little diamonds on the band that are set into the band, not like a normal diamond. it is gorgeous and is only about $300. which is a great deal! I found it while window looking and have loved it ever since. I told him that this anniversary is special because as i said, 'it is 1/4 of 25 years.' which he replied with, honey no its not but i get what you mean.' well none of that makes sense anyways but my theory is that 5 years is 1/5 of 25 years so 4 years is just as special.
I guess i feel that this anniversary is more special than the other ones because as a couple we are so secure and much closer and stronger. We are in a good place and SHOULD celebrate! So I just thought that I would update you ladies and i hope that i didnt confuse anybody. If I did you know where to find me...
I just feel like he is getting more serious about looking and wanting to ask me. He has actually brought up engagement a few times lately which he never talks about anything having to do with it unless i say it first! So maybe around Christmas or the four year anniversary??......
But I think that he is actually seriously looking for 'the one'!
