My SO surprised me and came home for the weekend. I was really itching to see him after my little incident last week with he ex ( https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/vent-exgirlfriends-and-the-evil-of-facebook.96484/ )
and also because this past Sunday we were down to 1 week until his first deployment.
Anyway, he surprised me and drove home and got in at around 3am. I wasnt feeling well at all on Friday. I was battling some form of cold that finally surfaced Friday morning at work and I was drained from the week of school and emotional ups and downs from various things. So I called out of work Saturday and we got to sleep in til 11:30! And when we woke up he asked if I wanted to go look at some rings before he leaves this Sunday
So we went and had a deliciously unhealthy lunch right near the Tiffanys north of his mom''s house and then stopped in afterward. I''ve been to Tiffanys once or twice before, but never to look at engagement rings. Despite that even the small pieces I already owned from there looked more sparkly and classic in the jewelry cases. Anyway- I digress. For anyone who didnt know - I have a picture of the Tiffany''s Legacy Ring with graduated side stones burned into my corneas from looking at it only so often. Obviously.. this is way way way WAY out of our price range. A word to the wise, the approximations that Tiffany''s gives on their website must be for a center stone of about .2 carats and the lowest grade diamond Tiffany can stand to tag as their own. Of course, I tried the ring on none the less and it was perfect... I was light headed for a good hour after we left the store. Its so unbelievably classic and delicate and its light as a feather.
Sigh... The sales woman that helped us was beyond eager to answer all our questions and she was impressed with my diamond knowledge (Thank You PS) so we chatted for a while and I took some pictures while she was off checking specs for us. My SO was amazing, not only was I surprised at how excited he was to be looking at rings (come on, what man really likes looking at jewelery?) but he took the Tiffany SA''s card and asked her to write her email on the back!
I couldve fainted right then and there. I tried on the ribbon setting as well as a novo and etoile but nothing gets me going like the Legacy.
Its unattainable though. The one in the picture is 1.3 carat center stone with .5 carats in the setting priced at $45,000. That Tiffany name sure adds those zeroes!!! The smaller legacy pictured I believe was .4 carats with .2 on the setting and priced at $8500. (And looks just like Danielles
I cant stop bringing that up! hehe)
