Hi one and all - hope you're having great weekends.

Anyone know where I can lay my hot little mits on a Ritani endless love setting in Europe (pref Belgium)? I tried emailing them to find out if they had suppliers over this side of the water but no response - sigh.

I can't even find a price on their settings. I'm thinking of the classic endless love, simple bezel pave halo with that great shank, very fine. And the pave not all over the place but just in a straight line. Love it!!!!!!!!!!

Just like Chellebelle's (so beautiful Chelle - such a lucky lady!!!!!)

Be very glad of any help,
Abi

Thanks so much for the compliment!

I do feel like a "lucky lady"! Anyways, getting a response from Ritani does take awhile. Ritani dealers can get through to them quickly because they speak to them directly. I called my jeweler for you and said that I have a friend that was wondering if there were any Ritani suppliers in Europe, preferably Belgium.
2.gif
They cannot call today since it is the weekend, but said they will get back to me on Monday. If there aren''t any dealers located over there, the only thing I can personally think of is to order online and have it shipped. I''m not sure if that''s something you want to do, but it''s an option. I''ll let you know, though, what my jeweler says about any locations in Europe.

As far as pricing, do you have your center stone already? With Ritani, I believe that they will only set your stone if it is a re-set. They won''t set your loose stone. In my case, I had my mother''s old solitare ring. They usually sell the settings with stone (you have to buy the stone through them). There might be certain jewelers where this is not the case, but all the ones I talked to said the same thing. I''m not 100% sure though. Maybe you can find a jeweler that can work with you on that. The price of the settting varies with the size of the center stone. Also, the price can vary with the amount of pave... one jeweler said you can have pave going only halfway around the band and that would change the price. There are some websites that you can visit that have the price of the Endless Love. www.pearlmansjewelers.com is one of them, but they price them with the center stone included. If you do have a re-set, the setting alone is around $2700 for around a 1 carat center.

Anyways, I hope this helps a bit! I will get back to you when my jeweler calls me.

Take care and good luck!

Chelle - that''s so very kind of you, thanks very much. I''d love any info. I mailed them nearly six weeks ago now.....so if you can find out anything it would be great.

That was really sweet of you!

What were the stats on your centre stone, if you don''t mind me asking? I have an OEC which in a simple bezel pendant at the mo, 1.20c. I wonder if that would count as a reset? I love yours, that exactly the setting I''m looking for. I love the fact that it isn''t chaotic like some paves, it''s just a really simple line of small diamonds. And the modern design of how the shank meets the head just makes me drool every time!!!!

D''you think an OEC would look good? It''s not a great colour, being a J. But it''s in white gold at the mo and looks just fine.

Whoooo, how exciting. And if I reset my OEC I''d prob still have enough of my budget left to get studs.

Thank you Chelle,

Abi

You may want to e-mail weddingband.com...

Just to check prices if nothing else.

You''re very welcome!

I think an OEC would look great! And a J in color is not bad!!! Have you seen Mara''s Big J? It is beautiful and white! It will look stunning. And I think your pendant would be considered a reset... I would ask a Ritani dealer to make sure, but I don''t see why it wouldn''t be okay. If I remember, I''ll ask my jeweler when they call me back.

As far as my center stone, I''m still not sure of the stats. The ring was actually appraised a little while ago and I should be receiving the appraisal any day now. I *think* it is around 1.15ct, but I''m really not sure. When I get the stats I will post them, and maybe some more pics too if you like.
2.gif
I, too, love the pave and the modern shank. When I first saw it (the shank), I kinda thought it looked funny, but now I just think it is unique! I really hope you are able to get the ring somehow. I will cross my fingers! And you''ll have enough for studs! That would be ideal!

Chelle

P.S. Have you considered a custom job? Or similar looking rings? I think Dirt Cheap Diamonds has a beautiful micropave collection. Another option maybe!

... wait a minute ! Will the studs be the same "halo" style as the ring and OEC as well ??? Yum !

At Bailey Banks & Biddle the Ritani Endless Love setting with the halo w/o the center stone is $1500. Hope this helps.

Hi Abi,

WF is currently do a custom job for me on this exact setting. The wax should be done today. I will post pictures once I receive them. FYI - They are very reasonable. They use ACA melee. When I shopped around I found that WF was about 30% less than Leon Mege and another vendor that was going to create a wax mold.

One way or another you will be able to use your OEC. :) Should be gorgeous. Also, look for Morticia (I believe) to post pictures in the very near future. She just got engaged & has the Ritani setting with an OEC. :)

Laughinggravy,

I have the Ritani Endless Love setting, set with an OEC diamond. I love it so I''m sure your OEC will look lovely!
9.gif

Call Jan at Diamond Broker''s In Florida, http://www.dbof.com. She might be able to help you.

The setting was around $2,500. I have yet to post my pics here but will be doing so soon.

Lmurden, I think the $1,500 you mention at BB&B is for the Endless Love wedding band, not the setting. I checked out BB&B and was told the band is $1,500.

Good luck!

The sales lady told me that since I had my center stone already that the Ritani Endless Love Setting with Halo was about $1500. Maybe she was wrong. If you go to the Bailey Banks & Biddle''s website and look at the ring with a center stone of .50 carat it was $4500. I took that to mean the .50 carat diamond was about $3000 and that seemed about right for retail
.50 carat F color VS clarity. I would check it out.

Here''s a link to soloman brothers

they list the wedding bands at around $1500 and they show an eternity setting w/o the halo no center stone for $2000. i''m thinking you might get a break for using their stone but $1500 sounds low for a designer setting but would be worth checking it out.

dirt cheap diamonds sells a similar setting and it''s $1900 for WG and $2400 for plat. here''s the link

Well anybody can check out BB&B themselves if they are interested in that setting, but I was told $1500 for the setting with my own center diamond.

Also, I was told at BB&B that they would not sell the settings alone and that they wouldn''t use outside diamonds.

I''ve heard of some BB&B''s saying they would sell just the setting though, just not the one I went to.

The BB&B in Bethesda, Maryland says that they will sent out your diamond ring in its setting to Ritani and Ritani will set it for you. You can not bring a loose diamond into BB&B and buy the Ritani setting only.

The price difference could also be for how big your center diamond is. The link that I posted before from BB&B was a .50 carat center stone for $4500. That is the exact one that I saw in the store and was told that the price for the setting could accommodate .50 ct-.75 ct. The cost would be more if the center stone is bigger. Call them again or call Ritani.

Hey, Abi~
I''m so sorry I haven''t gotten back to you yet! I saw that my jeweler called today, but I haven''t been able to call them back (I have classes all day till 7).
7.gif
I will call them tomorrow and see what they found out. I won''t be able to post though till I get out of class tomorrow night.

Also wanted to mention that the price for my setting was more like $2500, not $2700 like I had thought. I wasn''t sure, so I asked Robbie (my fiance). That price is for around a one carat center stone and it''s a quote from my jeweler (BB&B), but I''m not sure about other places. Anyways, just wanted to clarify that!

hey everyone
35.gif
,
It was so nice to see all your responses, thanks so much.

Morticia - wow, what can I say. I checked out your post before coming back to this thread. I am keener than ever to get this done somehow!!!! Your stone just looked so very lovely, and the size, goodness!!

Nooners mom, thanks for the idea! Could you post when you get the WF ring and tell us if it is as fine/thin, round the halo and shank? I particularly love the lightness of the Ritani model, everything is so delicate. I''m really not a pave fiend normally, I''m not after tht slightly chunky or encrusted look although it can look great on others. It''s just not really me. I''m sure you have the same idea. So I''d love to hear from you and esp. see close ups to know that the WF has that lightness about it. I''m sure they''ll do a good job since it''s the very simplicity that absolutely makes this model. I also love the way the shank joins to the crown, no fuss, very simple lines.....drool.

Chelle hon, classes come first!!! No, really I''m just really touched you''re doing the initial ground work for me. I feel so cut off over here!!!

Hey - if WF do the setting for me I could maybe get the studs from them too??? Once again, I have until Nov and sweetness has told me he''d rather be spending the money over Summer.

Thanks very much one and all - I''ll estimate $2k +/-. Which means $4k + for the studs. Gosh I''m going to love being 40!!!!

Mrssalvo - thanks for the link,

Hi, Abi~
So I called my jeweler back and was told that Ritani does not have any dealers/suppliers over in Europe.
15.gif
Now, this is just what the BB&B lady who called Ritani told me (I'm still hoping she's wrong somehow!
20.gif
), but that is what she found out. If this is true, you still have a lot of options. Buying online (you won't be able to see the Ritani in person, but you can get a good idea with Morticia's ring!), a custom job by a local jeweler, a similar looking setting, etc. I'm starting to see a lot of micropave halos from a variety of designers, as well as "non-designer" stock setttings that are just as beautiful. And probably easier on the wallet!
2.gif
I hope this helps... if you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask! And keep us updated on what you decide to do! Whatever you choose, I know it will be beautiful!
9.gif

Take care,
Chelle

Oh darn and phooey and stuff I''d really say if I wasn''t posting on line and afraid of offending! Thanks so much for asking Chelle - you''re a real sweetheart and I very much appreciate it. Could you poss let me have their phone no and I''ll see if they''d be prepared to ship a setting to me it I gave them the dead on accurate size of the diameter. Although from what I have seen, that''s a long shot.

Sigh, you see, I''m not sure that if I sent my stone off to be set in the US that I wouldn''t have to pay 21% of the value of the ring (which would also include, naturally, the value of the original stone). So I''d be paying import on my own diamond. Blarrrrgh.
14.gif

Then if I sort it out here, and I do have a nice jeweller, I''m just a little worried that it wont be quite ''right''. For me it''s a tricky area since, as I mentioned above, this is not my usual taste, I''m not into pave. It really is that this setting manages to be understated and so simple.

I guess I shall have to run it by my jeweller and see if he''s up to it.

Could I predate on you Ritani owners to post pics of various angles so that I can build up a little portfolio in case I have to go the custom route? Sorry to be a pain in the butt and thanks for all your advice and support

Abi

Oooh guys, guys, expert opinions needed and photies too if poss for comparison purposes. Lauren, in the thread on asschers, mentioned DCD''s new halo designs. They ship the mounts seperately, I think they ship here and the price is do-able.

Question is..... do you think it''s heavier? How thick is the Ritani shank and halo, 2mm?

Hope I can post this!!!!

Whaddayall think????

Abi a thought just occured to me. Why not PM Paul of Infinity Diamonds (he''s in Antwerp I believe). He may be able to recommend a trusted vendor to do the custom work in Europe. Then you won''t have to pay the 21% value.

To answer your earlier questions, I posted the wax molds in the LIW area under "One Step Closer". The topic also has the details of my conversation with WF & an explanation. I have every confidence that it''s going to be simple, elegant & light even though the wax looks a bit heavy & wide. I''ll keep you & the others posted in that link as things progress. :)

Hope this helps. :) Also glad to hear that you will be able to get some killer earings! That will be my next project. hehe.

Nooners are we on the same wave length or what

I was at Infinity just yesterday...I'm planning to write up the trip as soon as I have a little time. It was just fantastic. I simply can't praise him and his partner Lieve enough. More of that to follow.
25.gif

But I have a sneak preview of their Princess cut and I am officially in love - tho' never a Princess cut gal before.

Gotta run now, but I'll tell you all about it asap!

Much love to all,
