I have set 2 blue Zircons in White Gold (WG), and am toying with the idea to set my next 2 blue Zircons in a Rose Gold (RG) bezel setting with the rest of the ring in WG. The idea of using RG for the bezel is to enhance the colour of the blue with a hint of green in the Zircons.

The inspiration of using a RG bezel came from these rings that have a yellow gold bezel for the centre stone:

This is the ring design I have in mind for a 8mm OEC blue Zircon which is the next ring in line to be made, for the centre stone to be set in a RG bezel. I have requested for the CAD to be drawn using RG for the bezel to see what it is like.

This is the inspiration ring design I have in mind for a 9.25 x 9.25mm Asscher cut blue Zircon, with no millgrain, no or minimal shoulder details, or just a plain and wider comfort shank:

Would love to hear from the seasoned PSers who love their colourful CSs if this would work, or whether I should stick with all WG!

TIA.

Just did a mock up for you - please please please excuse my awful skills at doing this! I thought it might give you an idea though.

Thanks @LD for the mock ups.

The 8mm OEC has a hint of green in it:

And the Asscher from JW, captured from the video he sent me, it is on its way to me as I type:

I have a few other blue with green stones, and am toying with the idea of setting them in RG bezel to bring out their colours.

Here you go! Sorry it's shocking work but at least it gives you an idea of whether you think it may work.

It's great, THANK YOU!

I believe it would work!

I think it will look gorgeous with the Asscher actually. I think the rose gold and ocean blue really work together.

That's it, "ocean blue" as in blue with a hint of green!!! For the life of me I cannot think of a term for it, THANK YOU!

Yup, I have the Asscher in mind for a RG bezel, and thought I should try it with the 8mm OEC first as the setting cost less if I decide I don't like it and have to have it remade.

Honestly I think the Asscher will look amazing with a rose gold bezel. I'm less sure of the round stone actually. It works but I suspect the awful cropping skills of mine don't show it to it's best potential. I wonder if yellow gold would look good for the round one AND it'll give you a different look.

I love the look of RG bezel with the round OEC that you did for me (thank you!), and shall wait and see what the CAD looks like before I make the final decision.

How about RG bezels with this pale blue-green Aqua and Morganite traps, with the shank in WG?

The traps are on their way to me too, and this is another ring I am planning to set next year.

Perhaps RG bezel just for the Aqua, and WG bezel for the traps and shank?

From my experience, when I've set Aquas before, if I set them in white gold/platinum etc, it enhances the icy look. Rose gold will warm it up and as you have warm sides then I think rose gold will work well. However, I've been staring at the traps and wondering what metal would go well with them. I'm on the fence because rose gold may get lost (which you may want because it'll emphasize the shape). This is one I would need to play around with or see CADs I think.

This is the inspiration ring that I have mind, I am likely to stick with WG for this one to be on the safe side.

I adore that ring

I would say RG and blue Zircon is a great combination!

I may do this with my lab Emerald from Jeff W when I set it.

I love the the rose and white gold combo with your blue zircon! I have a 6 mm blue zircon to set and have been thinking of a similar combo though I might cheap out and use argentium silver instead of white gold.
