Royal Jewels

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark with some interesting earrings. It's still hard to believe she's 4 months pregnant with twins!

Queen Margarethe of Denmark and Queen Sofia of Spain, both aunts of the groom. Queen Margarethe is the sister of Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, while Queen Sofia is the sister of King Constaintine of Greece. Pearls seem to be the preference!

And here comes the bride! I think Tatiana (now styled Princess Nikolas of Greece and Denmark) is wearing the same tiara that Marie Chantal Miller wore when she married Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece. It's called the Antique Corsage tiara, and I think I remember reading that it was made of three brooches put together. Her earrings are gorgeous!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Now watching a TV documentary called 'Diana: Her life in jewels'. Dazzling!!

Just how much money, jewels, furs, gowns, etc. did Grace have? It was only a tiny principality! :errrr:

Good question, Danny. Weeny country but the Grimaldi family owns a large chunk of the casinos -- I think a controlling interest, though not positive. Anyway, that alone is worth a big piece of change. I wonder what other investments they have. Anybody know?

Thanks for the Greece wedding pics. Very nice!

Charlene Whitstock ER from Repossi :Up_to_something: the ring is named Téthis as was the choice of Prince Albert

Just found a better image

More pictures from the Greek wedding of Nikolas and Tatiana....the bride arrives

The more I look at her dress the more I like it. It reminds me of Ivanka Trumps dress. While I would have like to see her wearing a new tiara of her own, the Antique Corsage is a very bridal looking piece...it was the first tiara for Princess Alexia and Princess Theodora, and Marie Chantal wore it for her wedding to Pavlos. I still hope she gets one of her own!

She looks great!

I will have to say though, overall there was not a big splash of jewels at this wedding. Certainly nothing like Victoria's and Daniel's where everyone wore tiaras. I guess that makes sense given that it is a non-reigning house and it is not the Crown Prince. I saw lots of nice earrings, but not even that many necklaces.

Princess Alexia of Greece

King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie

Infanta Elena of Spain....great pearls!

We've had lots of posts about this one lately...Farah of Iran. More pearls!

Princess Madeline and Prince Carl Phillip of Sweden. Nice chunky bracelet!

Here you can see the interesting fashion choice of Queen Margarethe

Princess Marie of Denmark...dangling earrings, no necklace

Prince and Princess Micheal of Kent and their daughter, Lady Gabriella. Lots of turquoise strands here

Crown Prince Pavlos and his family

Marie Chantal, Crown Princess Pavlos. I think she looks kind of sloppy. I doubt there's a necklace under the shawl and I can hardly see any earrings.

Princess Alexandra of SWB and family. Again earrings, but nothing else

Nice assortment of royalty from the Netherlands (Wilhelm-Alexander and Maxima), Denmark (Mary) , and Norway (Haakon). Now I can see a bit of a baby bump on Mary!

And I just can't help but chuckle over this excerpt from the speech King Constantine made at the wedding reception...

"The advice I gave to your brother in law, Carlos, when he married Alexia, I give to you now….

'To keep your marriage brimming
with love in the loving cup,
whenever you are wrong, admit it,
whenever you are right, shut up'."

With two successful pregnancies behind her, the Crown Princess Mary eventually a good impression of how her body is affected during the process

And while Mary's stomach yet visions of so much, Crown Princess certainly feel that she is currently four months of pregnancy.

Her fingers are after all likelihood closed, and so Mary chose to take his wedding ring off. It bears out the pictures from Mary's just ended a holiday in Australia

Crown Princess Mary's wedding ring made of gold from Greenland and made by Royal Hofjuveler Flemming Hertz in Copenhagen.

Wedding ring is a 18 carat white gold ring with 24 square diamonds all around, cut in the so-called princess-cut with 76 facets on each stone.

Along with the wedding ring involves Mary also engagement ring, which Frederick had made for her in Brazil with a beautiful diamond and two red rubies, one on each side.

Both rings have Mary so far opted to take off, so she does not get unpleasant if her fingers would increase further

P.S.: ** Just in case... I used a translator danish to english

Do we know the size of her engagement ring diamond and rubies?

Today is the 95th birthday of HRH Princess Lilian od Sweden, Duchess of Halland. I wish her a happy day, thought I'm not sure if she's aware of her anniversary.

Anyway, this is a nice excuse to post some photos of dearest old Lilian (one of my fav royals)!
