Another awesome brooch.

As is often the case with this thread, there are ebbs and flows. We have a period of time where there's a lot of activity, then it drops off. I know I haven't checked in for a while. Thank you Rad_Fan for all the great pictures!

That being said, here are the things I love right now...

Duchess of Cambridge: she is really stepping up her jewel game! Seeing the Queen Mother's necklace (originally Queen Alexandra's wedding gift from her husband) on her was awesome! I am also happy that she has now received her Family Order from Queen Elizabeth II.

Queen Maxima: She the MAX!!! Literally and figuratively!! I've been waiting for her to bust out the full Stuart Tiara! She did not disappoint! She has a flair that so unique, and some of the jewelry selections she wears really can only be pulled off by her.

Princess Eugenie: She was breathtaking on her wedding day!! I am not normally a fan of colored stone tiaras for weddings (right there with you dk168) but somehow, it worked. I was at first disappointed that she didn't wear a veil, but as the news came out about wanting to show off her scar, it made sense.

Queen Letizia: I think this means she has now worn all the major tiaras in the Spanish royal family. She wore La Buena last year, and the Cartier Loop was the last Big Gun tiara we were waiting for. That black dress is the perfect backdrop for a major tiara debut.

What's next? Well, Princess Theodora of Greece has announced her engagement, so I'm guessing that will be a spin for Khedive of Egypt tiara. Princess Elisabeth of Belgium is about to turn 18, so maybe her first tiara appearance is looming!

Love this thread!

@LadyMaria, those earrings on Queen Letizia...remind me of OEC or OM...something!

I am pretty sure the bottom picture is photoshopped. The Chinese State visit is the first time she's worn it...multiple royal jewel sites were going gaga over it.

I am assuming you are referring to the earrings she wore with the Cartier Loop? If so, those are part of the Spanish Crown Jewels...or "Joyas de Pasar" as they call them.

I miss Queen Rania of Jordan's natural look...

Wow talk about blingtastic. Camilla's crown looks bigger than the Queen's. I still love Kate's crown the best. I love how Kate decided not to wear a necklace-the crown and earrings are enough for someone her age. Why are they wearing white gowns? I really must be getting old and fuddy-duddy but I do like Camilla's coat dress. The Queens' dress is pretty but she needs a higher support bra. Can't see Kate's dress.
Re Queen Max I love her watch, EC three stone and ruby rings.

The neckline of the DoCambridge's gown just doesn't work for a necklace. With the sparkles on the gown, I agree that a necklace would have been too much.

The Queen has stuck with white gowns for a while now, mainly because it is easier to deal with all the different colors of sashes she might have to wear. White goes with everything, regardless of whether she has to wear the dark blue Order of the Garter, the green Order of the Thistle, light blue Order of the Elephant, red/white Order of St. Olav...you get the general idea (good link for more http://orderofsplendor.blogspot.com/2011/09/royal-splendor-101-sashes-and-stuff_26.html)

Yes, the DoCornwall's Greville Tiara is bigger than the Queen's Girls of Great Britain and Ireland. I doubt the Queen cares. The Girls has long been her favorite, and it has just as much history as any tiara.

This one reminds me of the shape of a flame lily!
