Royal Jewels

I think I have found a new favorite. This is a pink spinal and diamond parure that was oringally made for the Russian Princess Catherine (not Catherine the Great) in the early 1800''s. She was married to Peter Ivanovitch Bagration. The hair comb was made at the same time as the tiara. The necklace and earrings were made later. The whole parure was purchased by the Duke of Westminster for his wife in 1978.

This spinal and diamond parure is just great! I think I''ve got a picture of the Duchess of Wiesminster wearing the jewels. Unfortunately, I am not in Sofia, I''m using my dad''s notebook. As soon as I return to Sofia I will try to find it and then post it.

Wow, that pearl set is gorgeous!

When I saw the duck head, all I could think of is that AFLAC commercial!!!

As I know the duchess's eng. ring had a large emerald. Do you know if this is it?

The Duke & the duchess of Windsor had a lot of dogs most of them pugs. May be this has inspired this brooch/pin.
