Plot twist - we know Harry used two small diamonds from his mother's jewellery to make the engagement ring for his bride. One of the diamonds came from the Collingwood earrings

i watched this last night
in celebration of our lovely commonwealth family whom the royals love

that's my church done until ANZAC day
i must say the Abby is so beautifully impressive
but the BBC p*ssed me off, i only saw two very blink and you miss it fleeting glimpse of the NZ flag -same as last year boo hiss BBC
our flag carrier was a RNZN lady- the Australian flag was front and centre though, our flag has red stars with white outline, they have all white stars - they look completly different

there was some nice jewellery on non royals
the MP of Samoa and Baroness Scotland
a lady from the Pacific who had the most beautiful classical singing voice and this lady from Cameroon
also enjoyable tradional dress on Kenyan dancers

No, they still sit on either side of her center cushion diamond. The only upgrade I am aware of is the change from the plain gold shank on her e-ring to a pave diamond shank.

this picture is just so pretty
it's amazing how that necklace suits HRH so much more than the late Queen or even Princess Diana
i recently read someone being quite mean and saying the late Queen had a tin eye for jewellery design but this looks so perfect on Princess Catherine

The brooch is designed as a parrot and is decorated with green and yellow enamel. The tail feathers are set with diamonds and the eye seems to be set with a ruby.

As of yet, there is new information released of its provenance but could very well be a 20th wedding anniversary gift, alas, an early one.

The President and First Lady of Singapore were treated to another glittering state banquet, this time in Luxembourg!


The Grand Duchess managed to discreetly sneak in two tiaras - in addition to her favourite scroll tiara, HRH wore an amethyst and diamond bandeau convertible into a bracelet.

The Hereditary Grand Duchess wore an heirloom of the Grand Ducal family - a versatile choker/tiara by the very famous Maison Chaumet, combined with diamond pendant earrings from her own family's collection.


To these HRH added a delicate diamond-set wrist watch first worn by Grand Duchess Charlotte, her husband's great-grandmother.

Time for some Grimaldi glitter!
Last night the ladies and gents of the (extended) Princely family of Monaco attended the 29th Rose Ball. The annual event, which is a fundraiser for the Princess Grace Foundation, was designed in cooperation with Christian Louboutin. This year's theme was "Sunset".



The Princess wore a pair of lovely emerald pendant earrings. I was thinking of GRAFF's Rosette collection at first, but have doubts.



Princess Caroline (the de jure Queen of Hannover) wore her gorgeous pendant earrings with large cushion-cut diamond drops, her Chaumet reed stomacher and a VC&A bra enter, which belonged to her mother. You'd be forgiven of you don't spot the stomacher at first, I though it was part of the bouquet!


Her younger daughter, Princess Alexandra of Hannover, wore a lovely Cartier fringe nacklece


While her elder daughter Charlotte Casiraghi borrowed her mother's (Pss Caroline) Art Deco earrings. I think the design of the earrings really echoes the Eiffel tower!

Not a lot of jewellery moments for Queen Mary during the State Visit to France. One of the notable ones was wearing Queen Louise of Sweden and Norway’s engagement bracelet during the return event at Le Grand Hôtel, with her Brincos de rainha (traditional Portuguese filigree earrings).

This was a pleasant surprise! Usually the Grimaldi's lack sparkle but there was a decent supply of statement earrings and some necklace bling!
