It was even more impressive inside when HRH took off her silver cape to reveal the true magnitude of her emerald explosion!

HM the King at the Goldsmith’s Centre, the UK’s leading educational charity for training jewelers and silversmiths. Aware of the King’s longstanding commitments to environmental causes, the Goldsmiths’ Company gifted him a cross created from recycled silver. The day showed how Britain’s historic institutions continue to fizz with new talent.

It's another Van Cleef & Arpels brooch. Other brooches from the Lucky Animals collection include a panda, squirrel and Camilla's beloved Jack Russells.

Today marks the 50th anniversary since the death of Princess Sibylla of Sweden, the King's mother. To mark the day, the Royal Court has shared this photo of the late Princess wearing a some sapphire heirlooms from the Bernadotte and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha families (indirectly keeping with the Napoleonic theme).
We all know the Leuchtenberg sapphire parure, but note the heart-shaped bracelet on her left wrist. This was a wedding present to her paternal grandmother, the Duchess of Albany. I don't think we've seen the bracelet in the last 50 years, which is a great pity, iny opinion.
I believe the cabochon sapphire ring went to her youngest daughter Cristina.

I love the neckline of this and similar dresses - double clip brooches are made for them and I have a soft spot for double clips!!!

I love double clips! Or twin brooches, for that matter.
Bjt I believe in this case the dress was designed/chosen specifically to showcase the sapphire necklace. Like Mary's iconic red dress.
