according to the court jewler Soohie did have a brooch on at the carrol service last night
and Princess Alexandra and Prince and Princess Micheal were there too
 
For the fun of it, I shall wear a simple glitzy Alice band on my head on Coronation Day next year!

I mean I hope tiaras will still be used by guests at the Coronation and it won't be your normal church service with hats and knee-length dresses.

its quite a few years old
i did cry at the end
here is what the Princess looked like when i meet her when they visted my home town of Dunedin on thier tour of NZ and Australia in 1983
i was 11
She had the most beautiful skin and she just glowed
she was so beautiful
mum had taken us out of school for the day and we were right at the front of the barrier
She stopped to talk to us and i gave her a flower

@Daisys and Diamonds I watched a good documentary on the long journey home. It's called Elizabeth : Fashioning a Monarch. It's made by the BBC and it's about QE2's fashions through the decades and her choice of jewellery and their meaning to her. Worth a watch if you can find it.
