Cam's brother in law, Annabel's hubby Simom Eliott has passed away

I wonder if the "new" monarchy is attempting to be modern and low-key, in avoiding wearing what could be interpreted as ostentatious jewelry—brooches, earrings, etc.? I get the impression that Kate tries to relate to the everyday people.

And slightly off topic: Do these women have professional foot massages on a regular basis to offset the freakish high heels they so often wear?!!

Kate's mum doesnt wear brooches
come to think of it neither did my mum who would be a fair bit older than Mrs Middleton
but my grandma wore brooches every time she went out
a brooch makes me feel connected to grandma in some way
im hoping Kate will grow into brooches

As someone who got married in their 30’s, I always loved Sophie’s wedding attire. The simplicity and touches of black in her jewellery was so different to a younger bride’s tendency for frou frou touches. I thought she looked stunning.
