Royal Jewels

I was surprised by this level of bling considering it was a finance meeting! I believe those are the earrings made from detachable parts of the Stuart Tiara?

Correct. They are some very adaptable thick diamond clusters. Queen Wilhelmina also wore them as brooches and on a bangle - https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-q...s-with-her-husband-prince-henry-48350860.html

Queen Maxima on the last day of her visit to Morocco as UN's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development payed a visit to Princess Lalla Meryem, sister of King Mohamed VI.

The Queen wore a mix of family heirlooms and a modern riviere. Two of the House diamonds glittered on her years. These are usually reserved for the most important occasions.

He shared the Tweet earlier this morning, writing it was 'early morning March light' at the lake on the estate

Queen Camilla, 75, performed an important royal engagement on Wednesday as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles Regiment. The official Royal Family Twitter account posted: "Yesterday at Clarence House, The Queen Consort, Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles Regiment, welcomed General Sir Patrick Sanders, the Regiment’s outgoing Colonel Commandant, and Lieutenant General Tom Copinger-Symes, the new Colonel Commandant."

note not actually yesterday but this week

hmmmm
i hope we still get to see tiaras at these events on the eve of the corrination
Despite the King’s plans to get an early night, he will host a reception for Commonwealth leaders on May 5, and there will be a dinner for world leaders at Buckingham Palace that evening.
There will be no repeat of the Commonwealth banquet held before the coronation of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in 1953. The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association said that “what was appropriate then will not necessarily be appropriate now......
......The procession and ceremony will be pared down compared with previous coronations in a move designed to reflect public attitudes and the financial fallout from the Covid pandemic.

F U covid :angryfire:

Not gunna lie. I love looking at the kitty cats and the wild ones. So cute and fluffy! I love cats so much. And I really like her tiara and pearls at her wedding. I am just :kiss2:

Princess Micheal seems to be the only cat lover in the family
I know that the late Queen was alergic :(2

i just blubbered through this

Charles and Camilla have just arrived in Berlin at the start of their first outgoing State Visit. The Queen is wearing a turquoise and diamond flower brooch, which was a confirmation present from Queen Mary to Princess Elizabeth in 1942. It's the first time I see the brooch.

who do you think gave it to Queen Mary ?
it must have more family history

i love turquoise and diamonds, its so Victorian
i guess the Queen got so many lovely gifts over her very long life some things just got forgotten about
its lovely its getting an outing now and a rather important one at that
i hope Charles is enjoying going through his mother's jewlery

Personally, I would prefer Queen Cam with one of her multi-strand diamond chokers, as I do not believe that necklaces goes well with the tiara myself.

Personal preferences and all that.

DK :))

I get easily bored by the choker-honeycomb tiara combo

I much prefer it worn with a proper necklace

And last night was sort of a repeat from earlier times, albeit with a different fringe around the neck.

Other necklaces, yes, not the fringe.

Personal preferences and all that!

Kate Middleton's Royal Blue Sapphire engagement ring was designed by The House of Garrard in 1981. This 12K Ceylon sapphire set in 18K white gold looks iconic.

A lot of PSers would probably reject that stone for being too dark and solid looking - I know I would! :lol-2:

Catherine, HRH the Princess of Wales, given her proper title, wears it well though.

DK :))

Ordered a tri colour sash without any printed wordings for the coronation events that I am attending.

No wording so that it can be reused in future.

I shall pin it to my outfit with a 75mm button batch with the special coronation emblem.

Parties and viewings on big screen are springing up near where I live. Too late as I have made plans to drive 5h+ for a national conference over the weekend organised by the service charity that I belong to.

DK :))

The first Heirloom of the Crown debut is here!
:eek2::appl::kiss2:

Queen Camilla is wearing the Albert brooch on third and last day of TM's State Visit to Germany. The brooch was supposedly made in Germany and purchased by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria prior to their wedding in 1840.
