Garter Day 2023 - a brief recap

The King wore a jewelled Great George, which looks like it may have been the Marlborough George from 1828. The same Greater George was often worn my his late mother.



The Queen wore her usual pearl drop earrings and smaller 4 row pearl choker (obscured by the robes)


The Princess of Wales wore heirlooms from Diana, Princess of Wales - the Collingwood pearl earrings, pearl bracecelt and the mighty sapphire ring. Unfortunately, one of the diamonds in her left earring has been lost


And then we have the Duchess of Gloucester's pink topazes (I think), pearls and Art Deco mix. Note the two rock crystal clips on her left hip! So chic!

my mum had all her rings checked over by the family jewler each year
Did mother Middleton not do this also ?
surley this would be some back stairs flunky's job to keep an eye on the health of the family's jewlery
