King Charles and Queen Camilla visit Poundbury

The Monarchs looked in great spirits as they arrived in Dorchester this morning ahead of their visit of Poundbury, where they admired the new garden built in the honour of the Duke of Edinburgh.

As part of the King and Queen's visit to Poundbury on Tuesday, they also opened the new Duke of Edinburgh Garden, where they viewed the completion of a new bust of the monarch's late father.

The Bronze bust of Prince Philip was sculpted by Frances Segelman, Lady Petchy, who has also sculpted the late Queen and His Majesty as the former Prince of Wales.

Ms Segelman said: 'The King loves this one, he thought it was wonderful, he has seen it because there is one of them in the Palace.

'It has been sculpted in the year 2000 but he asked if he could put another one here. He loved the shape of it and he loved it in this setting. It gives the impression of freedom, free to look at the beautiful view.'

Speaking after the King had conducted his final walkabout at the end of the visit, a Poundbury resident said it was clear how 'invested' he was in it.

Their Majesties observed a new bronze relief of themselves as well as meeting its sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley, local dignitaries and those involved in the Royal Pavilion development.

Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, appeared in great spirits at the party at Lancaster House to mark the 20th anniversary of wildlife conservation charity Elephant Family, which was established in 2003 by Her Majesty's late brother Mark Shand.

This year’s annual Animal Ball is a celebration of indigenous communities, hosted by the Elephant Family in partnership with the British Asian Trust.

The actress is called Sophie Winkleman, I believe. She's been in so many things for just ages---I was surprised when I learned she had married into the Royal Family. I quite like the yellow dress with the cute ivory hat.
