i know that HRH has serous health issues and maybe jewellery is a hassle or the weight of some give her head aches or add to her feeling unwell some days

something i love about following the royals is i learn so much about other countries and also history
im interested in WW2 and i learn something new so often, i usually have to then google as so many articles only want to talk about shoes and clothes - but its a start

this day the king was feeling unwell so the lovely Queen of the Belgians stepped in for her husband

On September 9, 2024, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended a memorial ceremony on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Liège at the national cemetery Enclos des Fusillés de la Citadelle (Field of Honor of the Executed). Liège was liberated by the British Second Army in September 1944. In 1946, a memorial was established to those who had been executed in the citadel during World Wars I and II.
This field of honor contains 419 graves of people who were killed by the Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS during World War II, as well as that of the chaplain of the Liège citadel, Mr. Canon Mathieu Voncken. The citadel was mainly used as a detention and execution site for patriots and members of the resistance during World War II

so the Duchess of Gloucester has been at the Davis cup but i can only find one picture of her and i cant see any bling, her and her Prince have been in the court ciricular this week but i cant find any news stories

Princess Anne and Sophie are out of the country this week
Not sure where the Princess royal is up to
but Sophie is off to Tanzania so we should get some modest jewellery and some respectful summery clothes
