I just want to say that people who do not rsvp by the deadline date are really big boogerfaces!

Waiting on 57 people to RSVP (deadline was oct 1) and we need a final head count by nov 5

"hey are you coming to the wedding or not?" -me "well i don''t know! do you think it will be cold out that day??" -guest

of course he was just kidding though....i hope lol

Why haven''t you started calling people?

I started the week after the deadline date.

My parents decided on the deadline date and sent the invites out from their house (cheaper to send invites in town or something like that and they live across the st from the caterer) and i never remembered to ask what it was, doh!

at least im doing it now though right :)

Wait, stamp cost has what to do with distance?

Start calling now! Do make parents or your FI call folks if the guests are "theirs."

Call them! Repeatedly!

I think this happens to pretty much everyone. I had to stalk some of my friends to get them to tell me if they were coming.

yup, we''ve divied it up already :) sometimes facebook is a blessing, got about 12 out of the way already :)
parents are calling those ive never heard of (although secretly if they don''t get to it that''s ok lol) and fi is helping me call his family
apparently my mom''s side of the family is the punctual side

Don''t ask me, my mom informed me of this and I just took her word for it lol

we had the same problem, that people didn''t RSVP on time. I didn''t care so much because a non-reply to me means no show, and I wanted to keep the wedding small. however DH wanted a clear answer from everyone and started spamming everyone with e-mails so we go our RVSPs like that, too.

Same problem here. I called, e-mailed and texted a few folks. Left all of FI''s family up to his parents to talk to. Even some of the people in the wedding never sent in RSVP''s - so yeah - it was a bit of a pain but it''s over now!

Definitely start calling & e-mail people yoruself! Keep in mind that not everyone may have gotten their invitations. Somehow about 10 of my wedding invites got lost in the mail. When we started calling people who hadn''t RSVP''ed they genuinely thought they weren''t invited to the wedding because they never got their invite!

Half of our wedding party didn''t even rsvp.

How''s THAT for stupid...
