I received a very pleasant birthday surprise in the mail today from my Dad. I don''t know much about it, but it platinum and has rubies and tiny diamonds set into the links. I''m so excited about it

That is great info Chrono! I have never come around to learning more about gemstones other than *gasp* that they are really pretty and colorful

Thank you Skippy! I had the same reaction. When I got the bracelet in the mail, I was thinking "Wooohooo! I have a real grown-up bracelet!" instead of "Happy Birthday to me!" LOL

. Ya know when I first opened the box, I thought the bracelet would look better on someone older than myself...but after my little photoshoot and getting to know it a little better, ya know, I am really enjoying it!

Thanks Catmom! LOL yup my dad is pretty sweet to me. He is also sweet to himself; I wish I could show you his jewelry collection. He is the most well accessorized man I know and wears a bracelet, diamond stud, tie tack, nice watch (Movados are his fave) and something sparkly on his hand. My favorite of his collection is his 2ctw diamond band. Not bad for good old dad, right?
