Ruby Cufflinks Value

Hi, I bought these ruby cufflinks (set in SS) on eBay, and they're more opaque than they looked in the pictures. They just look like red rocks, albeit with a nice cut that reflects light in interesting ways (I believe it's called oval, but please correct me). Other people's rubies seem to take light deeper, I think that's a function of clarity. These seem more opaque, but you can see for yourselves—I think these pictures are pretty faithful to their actual appearance. The seller said they weigh 30ct, though I would take that with a grain of salt. I'm quite happy with them, and I don't feel the need for the most perfect transparent ruby, but I'd like to know what they are worth so I know if I got ripped off. Thanks in advance!

A fair price would be $30-$50. They are not valuable, but they create a bold look in men's jewelry.
Enjoy wearing them!

I have a silver ring with ruby/sapphire that looks like that. I like the look, bold, but know it's not "gem quality"

They look nice. I would personally pay up to $60-$75 for them.

As long as they are red and actually natural corundum (sapphire/ruby) they have their value even if they are opaque. If untreated, they could be worth (several) hundred dollars, if lead-glass-filled they might cost only a couple of dollars.

They are probably dyed, and I think $30 on Ebay would be a good price. Up to $50 would still be reasonable, since the silver work seems adequate.
