Hi,

I'm looking for an engagement ring and stumble upon this website while researching angara.com. Can anyone provide feedback on the ones linked below?

https://www.angara.com/p/oval-ruby-and-diamond-3-stone-ring-sr0984rd-h?price=24000-58179
https://www.angara.com/p/entwined-split-ruby-and-diamond-halo-ring-sr1368rd-h?price=20000-54839

The first link looks like it's used in multiple settings, such as the ones below.

https://www.angara.com/p/ruby-and-diamond-infinity-halo-ring-sr1359rd-h?price=20000-54839
https://www.angara.com/p/ruby-and-diamond-halo-split-shank-ring-sr1008rd-h?price=20000-54839

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for any reputable online or NYC stores specializing on ruby rings?

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

In NYC you may want to contact Enhorning Jewelry, [email protected] she works a lot with rubies, very nice custom jewelry, she is always a pleasure to work with

The rings in your links seem to be renderings with always the same stone. not actually existing rings :geek2:

Yeah, I would stay away from Angara and Blue Nile, etc, sellers that use the unregulated AA and AAA description and stock photos. I also recommend Enhoerning Jewelry. She has many excellent rubies and communicates quite well.

Ok, glad I came here to check. Are there any other vendors you can suggest? Thanks!

If this is in your budget, I second this recommendation. I'd love a nice ruby ring myself. This one is gorgeous and the ruby is really lovely. I kept scrolling down the page looking at the pictures, reading all about it, getting more and more excited... And then I saw the price... :(2 (definitely not in MY budget)
Lol not in mine either! But OP linked stuff that was over 20k, so hoping he can swing it. I adore everything about that ring!

Am I the only one who objects to the DBL oval ruby because of the minor residues? I'd prefer not to have any residues in my stones. I feel they would affect the crystal of the stone, diminishing brilliance for the sake of improving clarity.

Thanks for the feedback! My range is between 10k - 15k with some wiggle room.

With your budget, you can have your own unique ring designed the way you want to. No need to buy these ready-to-go machine made rings. Choose a ruby that you really like and then build a ring around it, 100% personal and unique.

This is a great suggestion. I haven't put much thought into the possibility of finding a ruby and then building a ring around it. Do you have any suggestions on reputable sites/stores I can check?

Thanks everyone for their feedback!

Gemfix is a reputable seller. Here is a link to their Ruby page:

Leibish is in NYC. They are most often known for fancy colored diamonds, but also have loose rubies and finished ruby rings.

I would also recommend contacting Mike at GranGem. He doesn't have a loose ruby listed on Etsy, but has much more available through the jewelry store he is associated with than what is shown on Etsy.
